Hi all, I need a really classy and professional website design for my new video and photo sharing site. Yes it is like the combination of youtube and flickr. User can upload their video or photo and share it on the social media easly. My site’s name is “share.com†in a different language. So the hole idea comes from uploading and sharing easly on the popular social sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc... First of all i would like to describe what i am looking for as design. There are some example sites that i like. Please check these sites out. 1. Break dot com; The most we like at Break is ad ideas that they use. You can see the left-right-middle are covered with an ad campaign. Our ad company may request something like this from us. So the hole design must be suitable for Pageskin ad 2. http://bit.ly/uc90rg ; Most of you may not know this picture sharing site. We really like the idea at their homepage which they share user pictures randomly. 3. http://bit.ly/KN3OT : This is a local based video sharing site. The most we like at this site is the area near the 300x250ad. A Video playing area and 3 suggestions for the users. Rather than 3, we prefer 6-8 videos or photos. We dont like the design of this. Just the idea of focusing for 6-8 content at our site which will perfectly match for our homepage. Rather than this site, we may use this idea with a Jquery based slide show..(We have really talented coders so here in this contest we are just looking for the best design. ) 4. http://bit.ly/zceoGV : This example is for you to have a look at what ad types we will use at this site. So while planning and designing, it will be very useful for you. As this is also a photo sharing site, users will share their best, really high quality pictures. A result of this, our site really need to be classy and professional. I need four pages need to be designed. 1- Homepage 2- Result page for a video 3- Result page for a photo 4- User homepage Lets start with homepage: - Hole site width must be nearly 980px, centered - At the right side there must be a 300x250 ad area for all sites. - Search Bar - In all our sites we would like to focus on “Sign Upâ€, “Uploadâ€. The way to focusing on this two things is definetly up to you. - Toolbar: At the top or bottom of the site we need a stable toolbar. At this toolbar, we need an unique design for Connect via Facebook(not that just simple fconnect button), facebook like, follow us on Tweeter, Google+, signup and login - After the slide at the main page, which we discussed above, there are many options to share with user. Such as popular searches, most rated videos and photos, recent channels. - Another thing which we really want to focus on is our facebook like count. After the slide area we plan an image which is unique for us and focusing on the user to direct them like our site. The dimensions of this image may be nearly 640x60 Result page for a video: Same layout with homepage. Rather than slide area, here there will be the video content which the max width will be 640px. The tricky part of this page is sharing easly the content at common social networks. Under the video we also need a good design for other things related to that video such as view count, “Email†the content, “Add To Your Site†for geting the content embed code, “Report The Videoâ€, video tags, “Add to Favourites†and etc... All the design ideas is up to you. The most important thing for me is easly being social Result page for an image: It is up to you. May be the same with image rather than video with the maximum 640width. User Homepage: Another tricky part. Please have a look at all video and photo sharing site’s user webpages. So you need to combine this idea at user’s page for the “shared videos†and “shared photosâ€. I guess thats all. There wont be only one winner for this contest. I will pay $500 for the best design, but if i get other quality designs for my site, i will buy them as second and third which i will pay $300 for the second and $200 for the third. I will make my payment via Paypal. Contest is only for 4 PSD pages. Coding is not required. Contest will last in this Friday. just want to let you know am halfway with my design on homepage, btw do you have any prefer color scheme in mind? or we can just leave it up to our discretion? =)
It is all up to you. But please keep in mind that this website is nearly an interactive Tv channel. Nearly So we really prefer energetic, colorful colors which the user find interesting. For example we have pink color Fiat 500 cars
