the average is different for everyone and it really depends on what your niche is for the amount for the keywords. The question in itself is quite dumb because no one can tell you a straight answer. It could be 10 clicks or it could be a million.

Try not to worry about that sort of thing and concentrate on creating unique content and getting traffic to your site - it's great watching your earnings go up as you try different things :D

I agree with Darkhodge, there are just too many variables to think about what is needed to earn $500 a day. You do need a ton of traffic for sure.

    yes a lot of variables,

most important niche of your site

if your site is about mesothelioma you could get like $10 clicks (i've heard)
my sites get about $.50 a click on average

How about a general possible range??

Imagine if your site gets a pathetic 1 cent per click (the lowest you can get), how many clicks will you need $500/0.01= 50,000 clicks a day

Imagine if you get a good site with a $1 per click (one of the highest you can get, mind you this is especially optismistic EPC) $500/1= 500 clicks a day.

And to get 50,000 clicks or 500 clicks a day, based on a very high CTR of 10% requires you to have an impression of 500,000 or 5000 impressions a day.. You go and do the rest of the calculation and see if your site will be able to fit in between this range..

If you think u can do it.. great... i congratulate you... if you can't fret not....
Look at my free report in my sig url..

To get $500/day at an 'average' click thru rate (CTR) of 4% (a number I just made up. Some do better, some do worse) you will need X number of impressions and Y number of clicks depending on your revenue per click (RPC). For example, If you make 10 cents per click (on average), you would need 5000 clicks and about 125,000 page impressions at 4% ctr.

    $/Day RPC Clicks CTR Impressions
    $500.00 $0.10 5000 4% 125000
    $500.00 $0.20 2500 4% 62500
    $500.00 $0.30 1667 4% 41667
    $500.00 $0.40 1250 4% 31250
    $500.00 $0.50 1000 4% 25000
    $500.00 $0.60 833 4% 20833
    $500.00 $0.70 714 4% 17857
    $500.00 $0.80 625 4% 15625

It really varies. One day I made $21.54 based on 738 impressions and 109 clicks which was a 14.77% CTR. However one day I had 737 impressions and 122 clicks which was a 16.55% CTR, and only made $4.24. So obviously it's based on how much advertisers are paying per clickthrough.
