I need banners to help promote my website's writer's program found on this page: http://theurbantwist.com/about/write-for-us/ The catchy slogan that should be used for graphic is "What's Your Twist?" and then a brief description about getting paid to blog or write or something similar to that. Description can be brief as long as the point is made and it's catchy. You should also implement our tagline into it somehow: Your City. Your World. Your Twist. The word "Twist" in this instance is synonymous with the words "opinion", spin", "thought", etc. The angle that we're going for is to attract Journalists and bloggers and get them sharing their news reports, movie reviews, television show recaps, game reviews, etc. with the world by writing for our site...with the added bonus of them getting Paid! You could also add these key points to banners as well: - Get paid to write articles - Get cash for writing blog posts - Set your own hours - Earn up to These bullet points are optional. You can include one or all as long as the image isn't compromised aesthetically. And they don't have to appear in list form. We are also giving away a bonus which is a free $25 Restaurant.com gift certificates to successful applicants who submit their first post and you can include this info maybe by a call to action button such as "Start Now!" I would like to have Banners all IAB Sizes (but isn't necessary). Ones with * are a must. 728x90* 160x600* 120x600 300x250* 250x250 468x60* 125x125 336x280* I would prefer for banners to be animated if possible and each banner doesn't have to have a different design. For example, the 336x280 and 300x250 banners can be the same, but with different dimensions of course. If you're feeling extra creative, you can show me multiple variations for different sizes. I would also need a special static banner size of 1000x1000 pixels that I will be promoting on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Feel free to use my logo found here: https://docs.google.com/a/theurbant...zuZiTlpUaU9qLXRyQi1CdW5MRG5ZTjllN1ZGdGlF/edit But don't make the logo the main point of the banner. Remember "What's your Twist" and the part about blogging and being paid is the main focus. Logo should be used to establish the brand. Color scheme needs to match site and logo. I don't have a need for any particular style other than that. Just be creative. These banners need to be catchy and attractive. People would need to click on them if you catch my drift. Here are some example banners I grabbed from Google Images: https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0B1tR2u82zuZiNDI5TkpjODk2dmc/ Just to give you a few ideas although I wouldn't want my style to match any of these. The set of banners you will be designing will be our general set of banners promoting our program, but winner of this gig could have another gig shortly following this one as we would need a set of banners targeting a specific set of people such as: - Video Game reviewers - Television Show reviewers (recaps) - Film reviewers The theme for these banners would be the same with some small graphical changes along with text saying things like "Get paid... to watch your favorite shows, ...to play games, ...to watch movies, etc. " So as you can see gig could easily lead to other gigs. Please watermark your work if possible. And no PM entries accepted. Easier to check on here if they're all in one place, but be original. Don't just simply take one person's design on here and modify it to try and make it your own. Ask any questions first if you aren't familiar with any of my instructions before submitting. Trying to wrap contest up within 72 Hours, but am reserving the right to extend it if needs aren't met. Thanks!
Thanks for that! For some reason, Google Docs isn't let me make this folder this public... On my cell at the moment... Will have to have to re-upload a little later. I'm usually able to do all of this on cell but isn't working at the moment.
Here are some example image links since I'm having problems with Google Drive: http://www.cyns-home-biz.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Get-Paid-To-Write-Online-497x458.png http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag153/vitelsuccess/get-paid-2-blog-daily_zps3e220f76.jpg http://www.makemoneyblogging.info/wp-content/mbp-banner/bloggers250x250_20110829194418.gif https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/...Dop_9VRkSzEkDTz-Kyo8mlL66CyxRl9iNHpwKx9YgZfQA And this is just some ideas as I don't want your graphic to match any of these designs. Just wanted to show you the wording and such for you to see how it looks. Thanks! Edit: Updated Google Drive link that works is here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1tR2u82zuZiNDI5TkpjODk2dmc&usp=sharing
Just a request for ya, You need to increase the time limit man, If you really want some nice entries.
Done! Time limit is a week and I'm also increasing prize to $60. I can't edit the first post or title.
Just to add some more clarity to my original description: I really want the "What's Your Twist" part to be the central focus with my logo being secondary and I want the "What's Your Twist" to really stand out with some nice type of catchy font. I want the text to really pop off the page for "What's Your Twist?". I would also need a "call to action" type of button such as "Start Now!" or something similar to that. Please remember that we are also giving away a bonus, which is a free $25 Restaurant.com gift certificates to successful applicants who submit their first post and you can include this info maybe by a call to action button such as "Start Now!" You can learn more about Restaurant.com's gift certificates by going here: http://www.restaurant.com/giftcenter?sitetype=mainsite Basically they're a site that offers fine dining at discount prices to various restaurants throughout the U.S. But we need this bonus to be displayed since it's our enticing offer to get writers to apply. And maybe you should start with the 336X280 banner first since there's more canvas area for you to work with and then if I like it and accept your entry, you can convert tweak design so that it works for the other dimensions. Thanks!
Are you also planning to buy a video advertisement (animated) for this ? If yes, Please message me asap. I can show you samples too.
A video would look really fcking nice with this. This is what most people are using to promote their service.
Haven't really thought about it. Just want to focus on one thing at a time but I'm open to the idea once I see how these banners turn out.
I wasn't expecting any PM's so I haven't been checking. About to check now. I prefer for entries to be posted here.
Thanks guys...I may have to extend contest. Taking a little longer than I initially expected. Giving it to this weekend.
I'm going to try this one more time. It's recently came to my attention that maybe my description at beginning was too wordy and designers like things to be more simplistic and straight forward so I'm breaking it down here: "What's Your Twist" needs to be big and bold. Really nice looking font. Clean and catchy font. This is the tagline. This is what I want to call them to ad. You can maybe even use the font used in "Twist" from my logo or something similar. Unfortunately I don't know the font name. https://docs.google.com/a/theurbant...zuZiTlpUaU9qLXRyQi1CdW5MRG5ZTjllN1ZGdGlF/edit "Your City. Your World. Your Twist." should also be emphasized which is the main tagline for our site. I was thinking maybe having this in smaller font size then "What's Your Twist?" with this tagline leading up to the one above. I would like to have a city skyline implemented in the background somehow similar to this old banner design of mine: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e5w5l9ss862ckus/hhk-giveaway.png?dl=0 You still need to add these points to the design: You could also add these key points to banners as well and it doesn't have to be in bullet form: - Get paid to write articles - Get cash for writing blog posts - Set your own hours - Free Training - Get paid for writing in your Spare Time And I would still need a "Start Now!" call to button. I want my logo's color scheme to be used in the design and want my logo to be implemented into design as well, but to make things easy, don't use my logo and just my color scheme. We'll add logo later once we're done. I want you to focus on these elements first. Be creative and any other blogging or writing elements you can add, feel free to do so and let me see how it looks. If you can animate the button or some of the wording, that'll be great as well. Design the 336x280 banner first and we'll go from there once I pick the winning design. Thanks! Link to program that this banner is promoting can be found here: http://theurbantwist.com/about/write-for-us/
Contest is cancelled... :-( Not getting the responses I was expecting. I'm going to just stick to logo contests like these ones previously I have done. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/48-hour-contest-25-prize.2725564/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/72-hours-logo-design-winner-gets-35.2705872/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...plus-icon-30-contest-72-hour-contest.2577951/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...aid-out-for-each-design-that-we-pick.2553168/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/35-logo-design-contest-72-hours.2546280/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...-image-illustrator-vector-from-image.2545685/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/48-hour-logo-contest-for-jewelry-website-20.2543314/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/36-hour-logo-contest.2205406/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...edesign-for-an-urban-online-magazine.2180446/ https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...blog-logo-contest-72-hours-or-sooner.2069715/ ...as you can see I'm good for it so I don't know why responses were very minimal but it's all good. ;-)
