Hi there, I am building out a t-shirt site called ThreadHunters. I am looking for a logo in rasterized format. The deadline is September 25th @ Noon Eastern US time. I'd like it to have some kind of tee shirt with a weapon of some sort (sword, shield, axe, spear, bow and arrow) It is important to me that the words Thread and Hunters have no space between them so it is ThreadHunters not Thread Hunters. I would like the word Hunters to be bold and strong, but feel free to play with more cursive fonts for the word Thread. Colours are up to you, though I fancy blue, green, turquoise (not together necessarily) Let me know what questions you might have and I'll do my best to respond to every submission.
Great contest! I do have one question: Can you list the applications will you be applying the logo? Also size?
It will, of course, be used on the website, social media, and potentially print someday (branded shirt?) So ideally it will be in vector format so it can be endlessly resized without quality reduction. If you can't do vector, then 4000x4000 @ 300 dpi should be good enough for most applications (with a reasonable web safe size maybe around 1000 wide and however tall PNG @ 72 dpi for the website)
@collegerut - So you made a few mistakes in your interpretation of the brief. I asked for Hunters to be strong and blocky and Thread to be more experimented with in cursives and whatnot. The whole thing looks a bit overworked. The tee looks more like a jersey. The weapons being crossed don't really represent anything. Also, you have a ton of extra things that don't seem to fit. It's a cool start, but needs some re-working. The letters are really close together, and the white separating some letters looks wrong like the capital T and the h in Thread. Also, under the u in Hunters there is a little yellow point. Not sure what happened there. My overall advice would be to re-read the brief and maybe simplify a bit.
Ch, thanks for the feedback. I have since did a new design in what I believe you are looking for. Feedback welcomed.
@collegerut - Much better man. I think the T-shirt could be even more plain? I love the text for Thread but I'm not sure about Hunters. I love the arrow, but the arrow head looks detached and I wish the arrow shaft went through the bottom of the Hunters text so it looked like it was sitting in front of the word. @Quellculate - I love the energy of it. I think it looks really cool, but... It is a bit hard to read. The fonts look really cool. The colour is pretty nice. I like the idea that they are interwoven, but I can't easily read thread at all. Not sure how to fix it, but that's my feedback... @3SS - Not a fan of trying to make the H into a t-shirt. The fonts look good, but the axes with dots around them might be a bit too simplistic. I'd really like the logo to have more than one colour or tone. @getdomain4u - The sword and shield appeals to me, but can you simplify the sword design? Also, can you try some different fonts for Thread? Otherwise, a really strong contender. Thank you for your submission.
Thanks for the feedback. So,I took into consideration on a few things. Made the shirt more plan, moved the arrow up, but gave it the effect of passing through the letters. Also connected the shaft to the arrow head. Feedback welcomed
@weirdXtreme - Not sure what the stuff is under the Thread Hunters text. I am not a huge fan of the font used for Hunters. I like the shirt with the arrows on it though. @Gp singh - Not a fan of the Hunter text, nor the sword. The lighter blue looks nice but I don't like the darker blue you have with it. The playful look of the font used for Thread is nice though. @collegerut - It looks like the tip of the arrow head got cut off, I'm sure that's a small thing though. Can you try different fonts for Hunters. The idea of the arrow going through the text is interesting, but I'm not sure the effect is captured as well as you'd like. Probably best to just have it in front. Thank you so much for your progression on this. Also, I'd love to see the shirt have nothing on the chest, and maybe a thicker outline of the shirt? I liked the blue lines you had on the shoulder of the t-shirt before, I should have been more specific.
Ch, thanks for the feedback. Here are a few more sample. All have new fonts. top one has a thicker green line with blue highlight. The other 2 have blue thick outline with green highlight. All three have nothing on the shirt as requested. Feedback welcomed.
