Hi everybody, I want to share with you a test i did back in May of this year. I wanted to know how easy/hard it was to get free traffic from the search engines. My test succeeded so maybe this can be some motivation for you when you're just starting out doing Seo and try to rank your site. I started this with just very limited knowledge on seo, so the optimization i did was something anybody who knows what seo stands for can do. So here's what i did: - Write 2x 500 word articles a day targeting keywords with 100-500 monthly searches. I used free google keyword tool for this. -> Use the keyword in title and 2 times in the article itself and also as tag for image i used -> Use tags on title and subtitles H1 H2 H3 etc.. -> Build 5-10 backlinks for each article just using blog comments. To find related blogs i used the site dropmylink.com -> The blog comments where thoughtful and related to the content of the article, NO SPAM That's all i did for 1 month. It took me only a couple of hours to do this (i write fast) and after that month i haven't touched the blog anymore. Now it still generates me around 50 unique visitors a month, which means if you would keep this strategy up and spend even more time on it, you could get even way more visitors than this. Here's the proof: As you can see, the traffic is steady and comes only from search engines, plus i haven't touched this site for about 6 months! So i hope this motivates you a little and shows that seo is still an easy way to get some very targeted FREE traffic to your site(s)! Have a nice day, Jens

Yes the key is to keep going the first weeks, since you won't be seeing any results. Only after 2 weeks you will be seeing results for your efforts but it will be worthwhile. I hope this post can motivate you to keep going
how many articles do you have and how many unique visitors come to your site? did you applied the same things to all of your articles? also did you created your blog on may?
Hello, Yes i started the blog at the end of april and wrote 2 articles a day for 30 days. In the third week of May the visitors from search engines started to come and from June on there has been a steady source of traffic. I used the same things for all articles, keywords with 100-500 monthly searches and 5-10 blog comments on blogs related to that keyword on comment luv enabled blogs (quality blog posts). You can check the google analytics image for amount of visitors

Great info, I think the key is to make sure you write high quality articles and then when you do blog commenting, make sure it is very relevant. You can always get traffic to your site, but is that traffic really your audience is the key.
yeah you are right but i think his traffic is targeted because people search the exact terms and gets traffic from those search phrase am i right JLeon? also is it possible for you to show search queries? or at least tell us is it targeted?
I do'nt make too much from Adsense, maybe $100 in all this time from this blog (6 months). I do however have made a couple of hundred dollars in affiliate commissions and have built a list of about 200 people which also makes money...I can't give exact numbers as i have many sites but i think this site made more than $500 without doing too much effort to increase conversions and adding more content, social media etc...
Yes that's why i commented on blogs using comment luv, you actually get an extra backlink to your latest article (with the title) so if you write good blog comments, you get targeted traffic this way too. As with anything in internet marketing you have to offer quality to get quality back, in this case quality traffic.
Yes that's correct if you rank for keywords and people come to your site from search engines it's always targeted. I don't think you can get better traffic than that because people use search engines to find solutions to problems. After that there's hundreds of things you can do to make them come back to your site, my favorite is building an email list.
Yes that's correct exactly 60 posts in 1 month. It was just to test and haven't wrote a single post after that and still get the traffic as you can see in the image. It's definately a plan, just don't give up before the third week and i'm sure you can achieve the same results
yea, really its a unique idea of SEO for the site and thank you so much to share here your practical and successful idea. I'll try to do this for my site.
This will be effective for maybe 3-6 months... After that you should work even more to reach the same point! I would continue with content adding if I would like to get even more visitors per month!
