I know, I said that you should say that it isnt' usually the CH would be under the impression that the work was origional.
Okay fellas, he sent me this last night when there was only a few designs so most of you are not on the first feedback. Don't worry it will come. The business owners name is Brian. I guess he signed on an account here so he might start posting feedback himself. I'll have him introduce himself so you know who he is. I told him everyone likes feedback adn to post it at least once a day if possible. For now here's his original feedback and you'll be hearing from one of us soon about all the other designs that have been submitted. "Re: Hecky Colors are great, but it shows nothing about what I do so wouldn't be good on my business card. It is classy looking & has very distinct, clean look. It looks very professional & implies the same of the business. Re: Shart Looks pretty good with the computer & monitor, but doesn't show anything about networking (wired or wireless). Also to nitpick, I think there should be at least a tiny bit of separation between the monitor & the computer. I looks ok when it is seen expanded, but when it is smaller (business card size) it looks like one indistinguishable big object. To everybody competing. Please show what the business is about - computers & networking. Even though I do home theater integration, I think it would be too difficult to get that in the illustration. Also, make sure that you have the website name which is HomeTek.tv in there somewhere. I like the way Hecky did it with HomeTek on one line & HomeTek.tv in smaller print. Geneally, I like Hecky's class & colors, & I like Shart's attempt to show more about what the business does. Something that incorporates the two would be great. Thanks again" My opinion: They look good but everyone really needs to drive home the concept of the business with the image. You should look at the logo and say "oh this guy works on computers". Look at the website and realy try and understand what they offer and try and bring that into the design. The person who does that the best will win...JMHO.
this has never happened to me before I will check all the enteries next time I enter one O.O! I have had same ideas with my friend couple of times but this is a first time when I get the same idea with a person I dont know XD
Here is a concept.....wanted to get it up and get you're thoughts...working on integrating the "what you do" part of it..........
thats easily the best logo, and should win but I dont think it is what the guy wants. as for slayer, if you sell the logo with the computer that you didnt make you can get in big trouble because you do not have the rights of re-sale on that item I think I will enter this one
Hey all you logo submitters I'm the guy that o40oe posted the contest for. There have been some interesting submissions so far, but no one has quite captured what I'm looking for yet. Please show what the business is about - computers & networking. Even though I do home theater integration, I think it would be too difficult to get that in the illustration, so lets forget about the TV look. Also, make sure that you have the website name which is HomeTek.tv in there somewhere. Thanks for submitting & keep'em coming. Duke
To all those that have submitted logos. I'm the guy that o40oe posted the contest for. There have been a number of submissions but so far only a few have seem to understand what I am looking for. Please go to hometek.tv to see my current logo. This logo attempted to get across what I wanted, but missed the mark. You can see the keyboard & mouse, but he tried to incorporate the monitor & TV & home in one but it just doesn't quite get it. That's one reason why I want to forget about the TV/Home theater idea in the logo. Anyway, at this point there are only a few submissions that come anywhere near what I'm looking for. jamess & coolwanz seem to get the idea but are little too stylistic at this point. Shart also had the right idea. I like the bold colors that Hecky used. There were several others that were very creative, but suggest very little about what I do. Anyway thanks for your efforts & please keep them coming. Duke
