Hello DP Forums, I recently posted a contest that was small but this next one is way more serious. I'm looking for someone to design me a logo for my Dad's shop, its a family owned business with his five brothers and me and my brother. We are moving to a huge building that's about 25,000 square feet and we changed our company name from Pro Auto Repairs & Sales to The Pro Collision Ltd. And we need a nice logo that we can display on a huge sign on top of the building and in our business cards. The Pro Collision Ltd ~What we do~ Mechanical work Body Work Car Sales Alignment Car diagnostics Paint ~Rules~ 1) Must be in Photoshop 2) Must provide PSD Files + Fonts Contest will go on for two days ( that should be long enough) Payments will be sent via Paypal! Good Luck and Thanks. ps ( The logo will be decided by the comapny(s) workers + owners) Slogan can be whatever you like it to be Example "One stop does it All" Entries Nikola J rockerdish
"(Must send files before payment ( Don't want to take any chances)" sorry neither do i, i had faced problem of non payment twice in this forum.
I would love to enter this contest but the "must send files before payment" will not work for me, and probably most others on here. The thing is that once the design is made and submitted here, you know the designer has the files. We have no proof that you have the money... I know I don't have a high itrade rating, but you only have a rating of 1 and under 100 posts. Payment 1st would be ideal but at the very least would you be willing to pay 1/2. Get the files. Then pay the other 1/2?
Hi sageview, A PSD format will not be good for you. If you are in a need of a professional logo design, I suggest you should be asking for an AI, EPS, PDF CDR etc'.. (Any vector format will do fine). In a matter of designing and printing quality.
Thats 100% wrong. As long as the image is a vector (shape or smart object) it can be resized without any loss of quality or printed. Not only that but it can be imported to ie if you need it to be and vice versa. EDIT: Yes you can also save it as a 'photoshop PDF' file.
Yep. PSD is da man =) you can save it as TIF then open it with Ai then save it as PDF or ai. just make sure that you chose CMYK as color mode for print.
For Nikola and all the other designers here in DP, I see you all embracing Photoshop and the PSD format so many times here in DP. While I absolutely love this app', and basically you could design and print fine vector art with it, do you self a favor you all, and start to learn AI, as it is the THE RIGHT tool for the job. Resizing without loosing quality is not the only factor that should be consider while you make a design. If you keep it in the virtual world, and design for screen media, than it is all perfectly fine. But for printing, AI have the best and right tools for designing and printing vectors. Sagview, forgive me my friend, for interrupting your contest like that..
Whatever sails your boat man. Its all personal preference. Anyways, I've sent another revision as well.
I dont mind, as long as i get a nice design that everyone will remember and like. Edit: thats weird i can't edit my post new enteries *Cafo*
