Masjacky - Latest book cover is wonderful! It's clean, professional, and I still love how you cleaned up the character. He looks terrific. The chalkboard is a good size and the chalk letters are easy to read. Love it!!

Two small things - 1. There's a backwards letter N on the cover in the words "teaching job." Can you make it a forwards letter N? 2. Can you take the words on the spine and move them up towards the middle?

Bodil4o - Very nice. I can't think of any suggestions at this time. I do like the greened version better than the red.

So far - Not sure whose I like more Masjacky's or Track's. These are my two favorites right now. Going to be a tough decision. :)

    Alright, here is my entry.

    Just a few notes...

The back cover will need a biography about the author and a bit more information about the book (the colophon).

I hope this is what you are looking for. It still needs a lot of work (especially the back cover), but I need your feedback and preferences to finalize the design. I would be glad (and would prefer) to work with you on this design.

EDIT: I have a few ideas I would like to talk to you about with my design. I can work on it some more tomorrow during the day (EST) as schools are closed again due to the weather.

I am a college student (majoring in Elem. Ed.) and substitute teacher and this contest really grabbed my attention.

Alright, I know you didn't provide any feedback yet so this might not be a direction you are looking for, but here is a revised version. I didn't like how I had the subtitle. I decided to throw in a desk w/ paper to allow the nameplate to fit in more. The back still needs a lot of work though, but with your feedback and direction it can be done!

I think the graphics at the centre of the fold won't work, but your designs are really nice

Made a couple of major changes to the design to lighten it up and give it a cleaner (and more professional) look.

Thanks for the new posts, everyone!! Sorry it took me so long (about 18 hours) to get back to you guys with feedback.

Mike S.- Very cool design. I like the character you created. Teaching theme is evident and I like the color scheme. Only problem is that I think it is a little too elementary-themed. I am an elementary teacher myself, but the book targets teacher candidates from K-12. I think the name plate is cute, but it might prevent other teachers from purchasing the book. Also - even though I am open to a new character - I like the idea of using the original mascot for the sake of continuity with the website. Entry looks great Mike - I do appreciate the time you put into it - but it's not quite what I want at this time.

Hughmandy - Also looks nice, but I don't like the way the logo spans from the fromy to back cover.

Masjacky - Looks good no suggestions at this time.

Bodil4o - THanks for the tweaks. Also looks good.

My favorites so far are still MasJacky and Track. Last call for entries... Winner will be announced tonight around 8.

Thanks for the entries everyone - I do appreciate all your hard work!!! :) :) :)

Thank you everyone for all of the submissions! As always in this forum, this was a great contest.

It was tough picking a winner... really, I'm not just saying that to be polite. There really is amazing talent on the DP contest forum. Ultimately, I decided on Track's because I like the background and the overall design. It struck me as the most marketable.

Track, PM me when you have a chance please so we can discuss specific template requirements.

    Thanks everyone!
