Hello to all great visual artists here! I am redesigning one of my abandoned websites as my old design was not very SEO friendly. Though my intention of getting traffic was not SEO then, it was social media and direct traffic from branding, and it worked, but now I will focus on all main sources of free traffic and here is how the new design will help to achieve that. About The Website: Picture hyphen Quotes dot com (which is currently shut down) is simply a collection of collectible quotes. the website provides two things: 1. A desktop version of wallpaper and a sharable version of card for each quote I post. I want you to redesign a template for each of them (they can be similar, just different in sizes). So, I want a package of: 1 Template of a card (512x384) 1 Template of a wallpaper (1366x768) Design taken from the card but rearranged for higher resolution. 1 Logo (300x90) 1 Favicon (32x32) The card and wallpaper should come in PSD or preferably PXD format (for pixlr) easily modifiable through free https://pixlr.com/editor/ to produce several cards. Share with me your imagination of Card only Design Requirements : 1. Transparent Background , so that easily sticks to any theme or background color like a non rectangular sticker. 2. Must contain the logo. 3. Must contain either prominent quotation marks or a callout box to enclose the quote. 4. Must contain a changeable picture of the celebrity. 5. Must contain the name of the celebrity. 6. Must contain the website name without www. Additional Guidelines: 1. This a website is about years old quotes so old yellowish book/paper theme maybe good, but no compulsion. It just must be cool and should appeal the reader to share it. 2. The logo/favicon may be like a pair of quotation marks inside a picture frame, but no compulsion. It just should be minimalistic and brandable. 3. The website name in the card is my main focus for direct traffic. It should look professional, prominent and must appeal the reader to go type that name in his/her browser to find out more. 4. The Celebrity name may be in capitals, maybe with first letter huge, but it should display respect to the name engraved, not mock him/her. 5. The celebrity photo like all other components of the card will have a fixed spot, but it will be the only non-text part which will need to changed in every card, so make it easy to change. I mean it should not start looking weird if a different photo is placed. I will not hate taking a short tutorial, if needed, to learn how to customize a new celebrity photo to fit to your design. 6. The old designs are attached here for your idea but they were amateur and the theme was dark brown. The new theme of my website will be anything but dark. I have few more things in my mind for which I will allow extra budget. How could I make a card without the color scheme and the logo? If you don't like the logo, then consequently you won't like the card as a whole. It's impossible. Good luck.
I got your point. But I didn't like your design. Especially the icon. However in the card, the logo (without text, just the icon) and the website name will go separately.
Well, you see now? Why would I waste my time doing the whole package if you even don't like the logo. It's risky and I'm glad I didn't do it. Good luck to future contestants.
