I am in need of a NON-Web related image that I can use as a graphic on a part on my motorcycle. I have a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad, and the image will be embroidered on a piece of black leather. I am looking for something creative, and would like to see something that represents Kawasaki Motorcycles, but does not infringe on any copyrights. Colors that I think will look good are silver, white, and red, but am open to anything that you come up with. Here is a sample image that I like from a Motorcycle club, but obviously it cannot be look too much like this image. There should be lettering that says Kawasaki Nomad, and the lettering should be kind of bold, so that it can be seen from a few feet away after it is embroidered. Contest ends in 72 hours, and I reserve the right not to choose a winner, if nobody can come up with anything that is satisfactory. My rep here at DP should speak for itself, and I am always fair. Pics of my bike are here, and the image will be on the left and right side of the black engine guard on the front of the bike.
Not bad Lustre, but not quite what I am looking for. I like the idea of wings in the logo, since that is part of the Kawasaki brand. however, I dont want to duplicate the actual Kawasaki logo.
retzseo, you are on the right track for sure. Can you replace the KN in the center with something else? Perhaps expand the wing a bit, or flames?
@retzseo, much better! The lettering might be a bit thin. @Lustre, I really like it!! Can you remove the Kawasaki lettering and just leave the word Nomad, but a bit bigger? Also, is it possible to lighten up the silver colors to be a bit brighter shade of silver, and make the center a brighter shade of red? Since I am converting this to an embroidery, shading is a bit tougher. Some shading is possible, but colors will generally be solid.
@ Lustre Nice! I like it, and lightening it up might have done the trick. I dont know if I can suggest any other improvements. @ ybianuke I like them both! I think the first one is the best of the two, but both are good. Since there is no shading on them, it will make them easy to transfer to an embroidery. No suggestions on improvements. @ [x[x]x] Hmm< i think it might be a bit too "Cartoonish"? Not sure, but not quite what I am after.
Are you making sure these are all at least 300dpi for print quality? Otherwise, the transfer will look real horrible.
Actually, it wont matter much. As long as I get a psd, I can resize as needed. I wont be printing anything. My ebroidery machine will take the image straight from the PC, and transfer it into an image that it copies as something similar to a patch.
