All the entries so far are too busy or too simple. Sorry. Please no modifications to the logo. You can use the .jpg version and remove the background, it doesn't matter. Once we have a winner, the png version will be sent to put it on the header. No glows, borders or anything around the logo.
I have a really good idea for the banner. However I cannot make it happen without a png version. I can delete the background in PS but I make all of my logos in Illustrator - vectorized. It just doesn't look up to par with the rest of the logo is all... I might also need to scale it just a bit, and I cannot do this with a jpg without it looking like junk..
