Contest $50 Mascot and Title design, Guaranteed winner

Hi, Welcome to my contest!
What I need is two images creating for PCRunEasy dot com which is computer tutorial website for beginners or people with little or no computer knowledge. It is a complete redesign of adamsdvds.co.uk

1. Firstly a cartoony mascot this has to be unique, fully brandable and provided in Vector/PSD with a transparent background (as the image may be used for flyers etc.). I want the mascot to be male look friendly and not to childish!
He must fit in with the design/colour of the site and have a transparent background (see images below for site design) other than that please be as creative as you can.
I really could not find anything similar to what i wanted but these images my help you get an idea.

2. Secondly I need a simple title header (nothing special here really) again just needs to tie in with the site design/colour and again I also need this in Vector and PSD format with a transparent background.
It must say "PCRunEasy.com" (Please pay attention to Capital letters) and under that "Communication Matters" try to make the ".com" smaller then "PCRunEasy" and put "Communication Matters" below and smaller and maybe add a reflection.

Please be as creative and quirky as you like, I'm looking for a mascot that fits very well into site and is something you will remember without being too silly or childish.
Image sizes on the Image attached are not set in stone they are just a marker that i was working with when designing the site.

• Please post all submissions and questions within the thread.
• Contest will run until Wednesday 30th of June, I will pick a winner in the evening around 7pm BST (GMT+1).
• Please watermark all your designs and display all designs on the Blank-Header image I've provided so I can gain a feel for how it would fit in.
• Payment will be by PayPal to the winner with future work possible, e.g. other characters or seasonal revisions.
• Winner must hand over full rights to the images created to me upon payment

here's a quick rough sketch and proposed font treatment. the boxes are to mark out the dimensions you specified:

 

l3fty that is an excellent start I'd love to see it in more detail/colour and on the header image, I like the font however I would like to see the .com smaller and Communication Matters ending just before the y in easy. It is a really good start though you've set the bar well for the others

 

Hello here's mine. Will color after feedback.

 

zyndtel I really like how you have added movement to the mascot playing on the "run" part and again like last entry very well done. I'm not sure about the wheels though maybe this is because at the moment there is no color I'm not sure balancing him out with four wheels might work, I also think he could be a little bit more friendly it looks like hes saying "catch me if you can" I think this is caused by the eyebrows.

Both of you have captured some of what I had in mind when thinking about this, very good entries so far I'm hoping that by adding color one will stick out more then the other to me

Hello , Here is my entry, let me know any suggestions.

 

zyndtel: I really love the mascot nothing needs to be changed on him now, he is my favorite so far. There is something about the text that is not fitting in now maybe its the size or colors.

Dakouten: Your mascot looks very friendly but I feel like he is lacking detail and personality. You have done a great job with the text I like the way you have split up the words.

a4hire: Your mascot looks far to geeky for the audience I'm trying to reach you could try to tone that down a bit maybe by removing the glasses I'm not sure about the front on look, I much prefer the tilted view that everyone else has done. The text stands out way to much the blue is to bright.

I'm finding this so difficult I really did not expect such talented entries or as many as I have, you still have over 24 hours to really make your self stand out though. My current favorites are ( zyndtel for Mascot ) and ( Dakouten for Title text ).

That is much better zyndtel almost perfect in fact, we just need to do something with that .com its sticking out to much and drawing my attention. I think if you just tone the boldness of the color down and make the font smaller. That is the only thing that is sticking out to me other then that everything is excellent the only other person so far that has also grabbed my attention is Dakouten.

There is less then 24 hours left now I will be ending this contest around 7pm (BST) tomorrow, the only two so far that are in the running to be winner and they are Zyndtel and Dakouten it would take something amazing at this point to challenge there efforts!

Well this contest is clearly at this point between just two people!

zyndtel: I like your second revision with the different font it fits better.

Dakouten: The changes you have made and the detail that you have added has really brought your mascot to life.

You are both very talented designers I'm really amazed by the quality of your work, I never expected to have two that I really like! I doubt that anyone can top your designs at this point with the contest ending tonight.

I'm really struggling at this point, there is no clear winning in my mind It's very close. I don't feel that anything needs changing on either of them I'm happy the way they I will make my decision later today, think I'm going to get to the wife to help me decide because this is insanely difficult.
