Hi folks, I'm currently developing a site called Bloody Hilarious (bloodyhilarious.com). I'm looking for people to come up with a logo and layout that describes fun, humour, comedy and speaks to everyones need to laugh. The logo should have the phrase 'Bloody Hilarious' somewhere about it, while the layout is more a concept at this point than a parameter driven page (in other words, just provide a JPG creative - though you can go to the trouble of generating/hosting a page if you prefer). The site itself will focus on stand up comedy, home made comedy clips (rate my routine), Jokes, and generally anything hilarious. Think Robin Williams, Billy Connoly and others. Whatever you come up with needs to encourage a chuckle. IMPORTANT. More than one winner may be chosen (not my call). If your work is used, you are a winner and will be paid. In other words there may be more than 1 payout. Oh and Payouts are via Paypal. PLEASE - remember this is a public forum. I encourage all participants to protect their IP with either a watermark or other process. If you wish you may also submit entries or questions directly to me via PM. Contest ends in 7 days. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ! JL
Hi everyone, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you all, its a weekend here in Queensland Australia. All the work I've seen so far is great. I've had questions about dimensions and color schemes.. I like the color schemes used so far by sniip3r, but I also like the idea of a white background. The dimensions used by all are OK too, tho I like the idea of banner dimensions used by zoid-freak 400*135. At the end of the day its difficult to provide any real guidance because I don't want to interfere with ppls creative processes. I like them all. The only hard and fast guidance I can really give is make them look professional Cheers, JL
Hi folks, I finally got the third party feedback I've been waiting for, and so far the top two entries are sniip3rs entry, and Snk (although Snk your entry might do better with heavier fonts and contrasting colour themes (like sniip3r has used) - the watermaking is a tad too distracting to properly judge). ALL other entries have their qualities and are appreciated, but the above 2 seem quite engaging and do have a professional look to them Thanks again all for participating, I look forward to more entries !
Hi all, Firstly, thanks snk, it's looking more promising Just to make life easier for you all, I've temporarily deployed a blog that features the preferred color scheme, along with examples of the various types of humor that will be found at the site. It goes from totally, utterly crass/badass/sick humor, to the type of stuff you'd mail home to mum. Have a good look around (especially under 'most popular' etc). I'm hoping this provides a better example of preferred look and feel. Bloody Hilarious Humor Cheers, JL
Damn snk, you almost hit the nail right on the head with your colors, lol. Nice logos. I admire you guys' style.. (SNK, SNIIP3R, & Hatsu)
I am not certain if I have seen this laughing face somewhere before, but, it was what came to mind when I read "hilarious".
Can an admin or mod please delete my previous entry. I did find the face somewhere and I want to remove the entry. I have created a different version here (I can make the tears red if you would like):
Its a bugger you had to remove that one.. I liked it. The one youve got there is OK, the circles dont quite work for me, but the font, weight, etc are good. Be nice if the word bloody wasnt red (a bold engaging color - just not red - dont want to imply blood) Keep at it (and thanks for participating too)
Definite improvement Xpressions: I think the word 'bloody' needs to change color. I really dont want to imply blood. A bold, engaging color is certainly encouraged, just not the red Here's the context for the use of the word bloody (I know some cultures don't use it this way, so I'll describe it below just in case) Slang. (used as an intensifier): bloody awful; bloody wonderful. I'm chuffed with the effort everyone is putting in here. Keep at it folks - only one day left ! Cheers, JL
