I'm looking for a simple header/logo design for a soccer website (http://www.mlsfanblog.com) - You will create the header that will be incorporated into this one - http://www.shufflezoom.com/wp. I started working on a new look, just need you to do the header/logo! This is for a wordpress blog. I'd like to keep the colors from the official MLS logo - http://sportslogos.net/logo.php?id=6319 but I'm not 100% committed to that. I like something simple - http://performancing.com is something I really like. $50 - payable by paypal to winner chosen by myself. Winner may have opportunity to a few more very similar if they want.
I'm not totally set on if I want "MLS" or "Major League Soccer" in the logo - either could work for me. Just to clarify - the new look is being designed over here: http://www.shufflezoom.com/wp That is going to replace what is on mlsfanblog.com right now. I like yours collegerut, but I'd like to see a smaller logo that became only part of the header. I'd like to have a search and rss logo up there as well. I like http://performancing.com/
I did not have a deadline in mind - I'm not in a big hurry. I suppose I'll give a couple of days at least before I try to make a decision.
@forall - I like the general idea - but don't like the font or the colors @Rosey - I don't like the weird black rainbow between the ball and "MLS" - black borders are too much @collegerut - As far a logo goes - this is my favorite so far - but too big and on the wrong site. @weblazer - This is what I was looking for - a logo on a header like that. Everyone: Now that I've seen a couple I want to make sure there is text that says "MLS Fan Blog" or "Major League Soccer Fan Blog". This is the design the header is going to be for - http://www.shufflezoom.com/wp. Once the design is done it will be put on mlsfanblog.com. I have no exact size I want things - but use this site http://performancing.com as a general guide. I really like the layout and size of the header and logo that site has.

My 2 favorties so far. @ScarletWolfe - I like that a lot. I'm a little bit concerned about how the navigation would look right underneath that. It would be very helpful if you could show it on the top of the site similar to what collegerut did. @collegerut - that logo looks pretty good up there. i was hoping for a little more than just a logo up there, but it is very nice what you've done. Feel free to do something different with that horizontal navigation bar that is there too.
Yea...I can see the problems...but I think its doable...I had to shorten the wave a bit...take into account that your header changes sizes depending on the viewers settings. So basically you would have your background set to the blue...I can supply the color codes, which were pulled from the MLS logo. So you will left alight the logo in one piece that the buttons and feeds will right align in their respective pieces..inorder for them to be functional theyd have had to be sliced irregardless. Heres a sample of how it could work and look... if you decide to go with this Ill make sure the logo will work on an 800x600 scale since thats the smallest or whatever you like. So basically I shortened the logo in this... Another here with the button area centered... Feedback appreciated.
