$50 Logo For Design Agency – Huge Exposure & Great Opportunity

G’day!

My name is Mat and I’ve been a member of DigitalPoint for over 12 months and in this time I have ran 3 successful contests located here, here and here. This particular contest is for a website design agency located in Sydney, Australia which is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing website design businesses in the country.

Overview

I require an individual (no businesses) to create a unique, 100% vector logo for my website design agency which is called Tisme (please remove the full stops.) The logo must represent our 2 key business views which are creativity and innovation. I highly recommend and encourage you to read up about our business by visiting: www(dot)tisme(dot)com(dot)au and follow the links. The logo will replace our current placeholder logo. We have sent emails to our favourite logo designers who I hope are able to participate in this contest.

Design

We are thinking that we would like to stick to our 2 main colours which are grey that is visible in our current logo and the orange which is visible on the on the numbers on the navigation. We do not want simple text that we could have done our self, please be creative and perhaps use an icon along with the text. All designs must be unique and entirely your own work. We do not want .com.au included in the logo.

Price & Deadline

We will be giving $50AUD to the most creative entry and the logo will be featured on our website, business cards, stationery and signage among other things. Payment will be via PayPal. As for the deadline, we are hoping for this be finished within 5 days, though if we do not find something within then, we reserve the right to extend the contest.

What We Don’t Want To See

We do not want to see: templates, clipart, copied work or anything which may offend someone.

Once again, I must stress to visit our website (which is also in my signature) and be creative! I will be providing feedback on all the entries and will be happy to answer any and all questions. I look forward to seeing those entries come rolling in.

I will enter, and please don't take this comment to offense (its just curiosity), but why would a website design agency not be able to develop their own logo?.. Do they outsource their website jobs to other designers too?..

Thank you for starting off this contest. Please find below my feedback:

clientfx: Thank you for both your entries. Unfortunately, both of them do not meet our quality standard as they lack the basic fundamental characteristics of what a logo is made up of. The box around the text is not necessary and the font you have used for the logo itself is something we do not like.

dmssrinivas: Thank you for both your entries. The font you have used is very basic, and the bevels are too much. We're not quite sure what the paw print resembles, and we do find it out of place. The chosen colour of the logo is not what we're looking for either.

DCstudio: Thank you for your entry. I believe you have the right idea, though not executed 100% to our liking. The joining letters in the font makes the logo look squashed and the "S" is rather big. I believe you have what it takes to create something we like, so I would love to see additional concepts.

katesrobyn: Thank you for your entry. This is our favourite entry so far as you have taken our requirements on board and developed something which resembles that. I think there is a bit too much going on. Theres the black and white lines making up the bottom of the "i" and the circular patterns making up the top half as well as the "e" in the orange circle. I hope you understand what I mean. I would love to see this entry revised and perhaps an additional concept.

A note to all participants: please do not post the logo on our current website, though do take our website colours, features and style into consideration. When posting in this thread, please put the logo on a white background and also a black background. Along with posting on a black and a white background, you can choose to do what DCstudio did and use a gradient background for effect. Thanks. Regards, Mat.

sicmanport80: Thank you for your entry. Unfortunately we do not like your logo attempt though the concept is original. The colours are off, the gradient looks very sad which is not what we are trying to portray.

you_love_me44: Thank you for your entry. The logo seems unique and the colours seem okay, but it does not sit right with us. We do not like the font or the "m" as it seems wider then usual.

UPDATE: As mentioned, I was going to post links to logos we like. Here, here, here, here and most likely more to come later. In response to your question regarding the meaning of Tisme it's very simple once you grasp the concept and say it to yourself. The meaning of Tisme: Opposite of me is you. Tis is another word for “its” so therefore “it’s you” (or your business) on the internet.

Thanks for your new entry, katesrobyn. I'm going to be honest and say that the half orange "m" intersecting with the "e" is not a very good look in my eyes. If I was to give a suggestion, I'd say to remove the bubble/patterns over the "i" and trying doing something with just the "e" or the "t "maybe a different colour or something unique.
