Contest $50 - Logo design - screenprinting & embroidery company

I need a logo for a new company, see details below :

Company name: Persotex (derived from ‘personalization’ and ‘textiles’)

Industry: screenprinting and embroidery of textiles (t-shirts, polo’s, workwear, towels…)

Colors, style, …: This is a new company that doesn’t have a logo or corporate identity yet so anything goes, a blank canvas, no limit on your creativity !
If multiple colors are used, it should also convert well to one single color.

Deliverables: Vector logo in Adobe Illustrator + fonts used

Payment: $50 paypal for the winner

After the logo is created we will need business cards, letterhead,... so more $$$ possible...

Thanks for your entry, but I find the font not very readable, apart from the readability I personally find the font too aggressive, makes me think of a tribal tattoo

Thanks for your entry, I like how you visually divide the two words in the name by putting 'tex' in bold.
However the word screenprinting shouldn't be there because first of all this is not the only thing, there is also embroidery, but rather the logo will be used either stand alone or with different tag lines

Just putting the word in some font isn't going to win this contest, no offense but I can play with fonts myself if that would do it... I need something creative, some artwork in or around the word...

Thanks for your entry, nice how you also present it black & white shows that you read the description.
But the text is also just basic text, and the dots next to it look very generic, could be used for any business, or did you have an idea behind the dots?
Second concept: nice try but personally I read it more as 'Persote', which would mean nothing to people...

I would prefer the logo to be one single 'image' so the artwork should be either part of the word or the word should maybe be inside the artwork, or unique lettering...

Is Adobe Illustrator an absolute demand, or would you accept scalable logos designed in Photoshop?

concerning Illustrator: I'm used to handling vectors in illustrator that's why I asked an Illustrator file because I want a vector logo that is scalable
However if that can be achieved in photoshop than I guess that's fine too, I certainly don't want to limit your creativity
