Here is the Client's old logo They are a commercial real estate development firm. Some potential ideas (not as to limit you): The "Third Coast" part could imply some water element (their existing logo has the wave that represents a river) I just finished a logo contest yesterday and will be looking to have more work done in the future. Also, We will eventually need business cards and stationary made with our new logo. This could be an opportunity to get some additional money in the near future. Payment will be made via paypal. Let's see what you guys have!
subscribed. What sort of time frame are we looking at for this contest? Will try and submit and entry, time permitting. Chris
As soon as we find an entry that is acceptable we will end the contest. The sooner you get yours in the better the chance. Thanks, and good luck!
JneroCorp - I appreciate the attempt, but we were looking for a completely new logo, not just a gradient overlay of our existing one. Keep the entries coming!
Fluor - I believe you have completely missed the mark. They are a commercial real estate development company. They have nothing to do with water or water preservation. There is just a river that goes through the city that they are headquartered. In the previous logo, this was referenced by the wave in the logo. This aspect is not even necessary as they are a commercial real estate development company (Think buildings, skylines, etc.)
I spoke to the clients and this is their input: Samir - Your design looks dated. It does not reflect the industry. If you would like to submit a completely new logo that would be fine, but there would be no changes that could be made to this design to make it acceptable. PHPGator - This design is not a good start either. We are looking for something that could be put on business cards and stationary. This also does not reflect the industry. The water is not important, but we would like something to reflect the commercial real estate business. Tightwad - Great Design. The client does not do any residential real estate (houses), so the house does not work. Could you play around with the font portion? maybe tie it in to the logo? They liked the subtle use of the lighter blue form to hint at water (others could take note at this subtlety) For everyone: Try using just "Third Coast" as opposed to the entire name, it may be more conducive to your designs. Thanks and keep them coming!
