Company name is; And will be selling SSL certificates and other things related to internet security. Some points to consider before creating an entry Logo must work at a small size (say 100px by 35px) but I don't mind if there is a smaller variant which doesn't include text - consider how this and this logo relates to each other Logo should be in vector format You are free to choose a colour scheme but the logo should look serious and should work against a variety of background colours. Logo should be free of anything which is covered by copywrite, trademark etc. It should be unique, so no engadget clones please! Name can use a hyphen required i.e xxxxxx-xxxxxx.com rather then xxxxxxxxxxxx.com Some kind of link to security, peace of mind, trust etc is essential. For example a chainlink, but use your imagination. Please have a read through this post by getvisible, even if you don't enter the contest it is invaluable reading for anyone with an interest in logo design. I believe in the idea that 'less is more' when it comes to logo design. To quote my reply to the OP in the thread linked to above "In my opinion a good logo artist has the ability to come up with something that anyone can copy recognisably with a biro. The real hard bit is at the same time making it unique." Contest is open for 7 days from the time of this post, in exceptional circumstances I reserve the right not to award a winner. Payment by paypal within 24 hours of a winner being chosen. Good luck!
I've tried to portray a chain using two S. This was created in illustrator (vector image). Thanks Staniel
Righto, some good entries here. I'll post specific feedback in a moment. As a result of the strength of the entries here there will definitely be a winner from this contest
Sorry for the late entry.. This is the first time I'm taking part in a contest. I design only for fun This is just a try ! My Entry: Feedback would be appreciated
Watari - Looks really good, love the style, it's unique and looks very professional. However the symbol doesn't quite say 'secure' to me. Perhaps those two parts could be intertwined somehow jackieh1791 - I like the concept but the green doesn't do it for me. Also in this instance the .com could be dropped as I think it distracts from your design and isn't essential. sarsh11 - It reminds me of another logo too much. I don't know what the logo is but it looks too much like a logo I've seen befoer. Also a little dated. Thanks though. cottonStella - These are both really great, I love how they are both utterly abstract yet still convey the message of secure. I'm delighted that you've understood my convoluted OP so well! I'm not a fan of the fonts though and even then I'd want to stick with one font for both words (even if the colour changes) I'll have a look through some fonts when I get back into the office and give you some suggestions. staniel - I see what your trying to do but it doesn't really work. Thanks anyway. msi52 - Thanks, but these logos don't look like they'll print too well so I think I'll leave them. katesrobyn - Thanks, but it doesn't quite do it for me. I think everytime I look at it I'm trying to find the picture hidden within the lines! Good effort though. CR70 - Sorry, not really what I'm after (definitely got the scream bit though). Thanks for your try though.
Sensonize - I like the concept and this is hard to explain but it relies a little too much on 'effects' rather then being a clean shape so I'm going to say not this time. Thanks for the entry though, it's a good first try and good luck with your future contests.
