I believe every brand should have its rationale. It's pointless to design something without a purpose. We should pay more attention to details, you should know why you're doing it. Here's my take.

Latest feedback received:

khai budz - Likes the second of your entries. Could be in with a chance.
logoesdesign - Likes what you've done here, especially with the seagulls. Both entries are simple, yet effective. This is the sort of thing that we are looking for. Would you be able to provide a few more variations on this theme?
kainraziall -Thanks for the revision, but my friend thinks the design is a little 'busy' now and has too many elements.
saud - He likes the new font. Much better now. This one is still in the running. Could you make the font weight on the word ' GUESTHOUSE' the same across the whole word though.
rolodex - Great effort. Loves the explanation of the different elements used, but not really the design he is looking for. Please feel free to submit additional entries though.

 

Less than 24 hours to go now everyone and then we will be picking a winner....

Currently, we are considering a number of designs including those from saud, khai budz, sapart and logoesdesign, with the most recent designs from logoesdesign having the edge at the moment, since this most closely reflects what we are looking for - a simple, clean and effective logo that can be used across a variety of media.

We don't have a real stand-out candidate at this point though, so if you have not yet entered or want to have another go then please consider doing so before the deadline expires. The winning prize is still most definitely up for grabs.

Hi everyone, the latest set of designs look really good. It feels like we are are a lot closer now to what we are looking for. I have forwarded these for additional feedback and will post when received.

Please keep the ideas coming in.

 

Feedback received for latest entries:

rolodex, Mr Nag, PetruDesigns, puttu - All four well done, but they haven't got the image of the seagull that is preferred. We are looking for a style similar to that of the seagull used in the Open Office logo (please use this as an example only). With modification of the seagull image all four designs will be worth considering.

CGdesigns - Really liking your first entry here. Would it be possible to see a few more ideas from you?
