Hi Everyone,

My friend is looking for a logo for his new guesthouse business.

The website is currently under design, but you can review the draft version at the following link: http://seaviewguesthouseireland.com.gridhosted.co.uk

Note that the current logo on the site is just a placeholder.

Colours Required
Open to the use of any colours, although my friend has expressed a preference for blue and white.

Text Required
The logo should incorporate the words ‘Seaview Guesthouse’

Theme
As you can see from the website, the guesthouse is located at the foot of the mountains overlooking the sea. Since this is a guesthouse with a sea view, we want to ensure that we incorporate that theme into the logo. My friend has suggested the use of a seagull or seagulls and calm sea. Other creative designs would also be welcome. Feedback will be provided for all entries submitted.

Other Requirements
All designs submitted should be watermarked
Please submit all entries on this thread rather than PMs.

Uses
Print Media (Business cards, letterheads, brochures etc)
Online Media (Website, Facebook, online advertising, banner ads etc)

Deliverables
Logo should be provided in the following formats: EPS, PDF, PNG and JPEG

Closing Date
Saturday 30th March at 5pm GMT. Winner may be selected earlier if a suitable design is found.

Payment
The winning designer will receive $50 via PayPal.

Thanks everyone for all of the entries so far. Please find the additional feedback I have received below.

khai budz - nice design, but doesn't really fit in with the guesthouse and location. Seems like a more tropical theme you have used here.
SuperRocketMisterMagic -Not bad, although we are moving away now from the yacht and mountains themes.
saud - Loves the blue and white colours and the use of the seagulls. Not keen on the font you have used though.
kainraziall - Doesn't like the circular image on the left at all. Loves the lettering though and the way the seagull has been incorporated as part of it. The lettering could nearly be the logo in its own right.

saud and kainraziall - I have been told that your designs are the favoured ones based on the entries received so far.

Please keep the ideas coming in. Based on the updated theme description and feedback received from my friend, we are looking for the logo to include the blue and white colours somewhere within it and to also include a seagull or seagulls and calm sea.

PetruDesigns & biili - Sorry, not really what we are looking for. Thanks for the entries though.
sapart - Definitely in with a shout. Could you change the diamond shape to a circle in your first example, so that we can see what that looks like?
logoesdesign - This one's not bad either. Not sure about the orange though and the different text colours.
kainraziall - Could we try yours with just the text and maybe some variations on the seagull that replaces the 'V'? We like this concept though. It's clean and simple and your entry is still one of the frontrunners.
saud - maybe you could try again with a different font for the lettering?
wichi - Nice first entry, but not really what we have in mind. Your second entry is much more what we had in mind. Could you try to incorporate the seagull into the lettering and repost on this thread.
