$50 logo contest

Hi there DP community,

I am in need of a logo for my new travel blog. My wife and I are backpacking for our honeymoon and using a wordpress to publish our adventures and photos. The name is "Hobos in Love". I need the final product soon and it needs to be resizeable. We will be using it for avatars so it has to be pretty simple.

I will give feedback right away and will paypal the winning artist as soon as the right logo is done.

Good Morning! This is quite possibly the coolest post I've seen on Digi...let alone found in the contest forum!...

Many kudos to you and your beloved wife...your story is an amazing one and perhaps...one you just don't hear everyday anymore. Hope your journey together has been a rewarding one...although...it sounds like it has!

At any rate...I'm in on this contest...simply because I think you two are pretty neat. Working my regular 8-5 now (I'm in New York so it's 9:00 am here now)...I'll be posting a logo this evening for your review...by 9pm my time.

Please let me know what file type you ultimately want...and I'de be happy to resize and send you seperate logos for each of the applications you will be using this for (avatar, banner logo, favicon etc...) so you don't have to futz with it!

Thank you to everyone that has posted their work. I think that I have a good idea of what direction the logo should go in.

I really like the idea of a stick and handerchief that are associated with a "hobo". I was hoping we could use an upside down heart for the handerchief portion. Kinda screams out hobo and love

Then I was thinking that two of these "hobo sticks" could be placed like a skull and cross bones (pirate flag) Maybe the skull could be replaced with a globe? With the text "Hobos in Love" beneath it?

As for colors, I really like black and red (maybe just the hearts red?)

I hope this all makes some sense, I really am not artistic or have a very good sense of design.
