We need a logo made for our new control panel we are designing called "vmArch". I don't have any specific sizes for the logo, but would rather have it longer than tall. Requirements Logo must be unique, everything on it must be unique. Must have a web 2.0 look and feel. Must have the word vmArch in it. Would like to have colors that go well with blue. Try to keep the logo width no more than 300px. Since this is a logo for a openvz/xen control panel, the logo should have a techy/virtualization feel to it. The award will be $50 for the logo, will be paid via Paypal or any other payment such as Western Union. We would appreciate having several sizes of the logo so we can see how it looks. Would like to wrap up this contest within 3-4 days. If we can't get anything in 4 days the contest will end. However we will end the contest early if we find a logo here that is EXACTLY what we want.
I appreciate the intuitive designs, I'll give some feed back on each submission in a few hours. Although I do see a pattern of an actual "arch" on some of the logos, kind of a cool idea! Also, if some of you think it would generate better logos if we paid more...let us know. We may add a $20 bonus on the logo we choose if it brings more intuitive ideas.
vm = Virtual Machine Arch = Architecture Just though I would point that out so it makes more sense to people what it means.
biruhato - First logo looks pretty good, but may be to much when trying to implement it into our control panel. Second logo is nice because it's basic, but it's to plain. Single line thickness all around and 1 color makes it kind of plain. Third logo looks better, but it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". wongrantau - Unfortunately that little graphic on the left isn't original enough. And like mentioned above...it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". masjacky: You definitely have talent with 2d-3d art. However it may be to much, and same goes to you as said to the others above: it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". CHSajid: Same for you as well...it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". HerDish: Same for you as well...it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". ffoxxoff: Same for you as well...it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". scorpionagency: To be honest I kind of like yours since it that little arch going over the entire logo. Basic logo, but I like it. Maybe you can add something that resembles Virtual Machine (VM), if it makes it to much then ditch that idea. zno3: To much, and VA doesn't mean anything once you know what vmArch stands for. Virtual Machine Architecture (vmArch). baps: Same for you as well...it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". Second logo isn't original enough, that little circle swoosh is very common in logo's for some reason. onlyfights: Same for you as well...it doesn't resemble what the vmArch means. vm is "Virtual Machine" and Arch stands for "Architecture". What vmArch means: Keep in mind that this a control panel for managing Virtual Private Servers, which is called virtualization. vm means "Virtual Machine" and the Arch means "Architecture". This is a control panel that manages virtual machines on many dedicated servers. So this control panel is the architecture for all virtual machines, it will help admins build/manage all their VM's on their servers.
thanks for detail feedback and direction . here are my try again .. you not loss any quality in monochrome/photocopy colour feedback greatly appreciated
