Hello everyone. I need a new, final logo for a website to accompany a new website design. The website is an online games website called 'Rich Arcade'. I have held a 'quick' and temporary logo contest before for this website; however, now I need a more specific one for a different design/background, to be used permanently. It must be a maximum of 162px wide and 90px high. I understand that this is small, so you may break the words down into 2 separate lines. The logo needs to be associated with the word 'rich', while having some arcade/gaming aspects. You may use gems, gold, silver, joysticks, etc. Be creative! I have tons of ideas, but I'd like to see what you (the designer) can come up with. The website's colour scheme will generally be orange/blue, but you are not limited to just those colours, feel free to use any colours you like. Please don't use images from Google search or images that don't belong to you, including game characters such as Sonic or Mario - it needs to be original. The contest will last 72 hours and the winner will be paid $50 via PayPal. The contest will be judged by myself and I will provide honest, constructive feedback to each entry - that's a promise. The logo should be made on a white background. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Thanks for your entries. Not bad, but the 'arcade' bit looks a bit pixelated. Other than that, I can't think of any other suggestions. It's not bad. Sorry but I'm not paying $50 for a quick Microsoft Paint doodle. Although it looks good, it's not the sort of concept I'm looking for. I don't like how buttons are sticking out of the text, the idea doesn't really work without a full joystick. I see what you did with the coins, however they look more like flat circles. What's the green thing behind the R and the grey thing on the H?
The green are abstract dollar bills coming out of a back pocket on the "R" & the gray slit on the "H" is a coin slot. I was pretty much just playing around with an idea to see how it all came together. The idea was to make the text somehow morph into a classic video game counsel with trails of money as a complementing measure. I think it may be a little too abstract cartoony though, that might be why it didn't turn out as appealing as I had first thought. Thanks for the feedback, I'm sure there will be plenty more entries from designers here
