It is now Tuesday here in the UK. The competition closes at 12 midnight on Tuesday in the last place in the world to turn midnight; I believe Honolulu where it's currently Monday 2:00 PM.

Rankings update in the morning when I wake up. Is there anyone waiting in the wings I wonder. I'm still haven't made up my mind between 1st and 2nd.

Good job I didn't do a $5 contest, I'd never be able to do that as it wouldn't feel fair anyway.

 

Thanks to everyone who's entered the competition so far, these pages are filled with talent and quality, I'm extremely grateful to you all. Hopefully those of you who haven't made it into the top five, will be able to sell your work on, or drum up business from this showcase thread.

I've got a feeling that there won't be many more entries, as it's probably a lot easier to enter another competition than to try to get into the top 5 here....but perhaps there's more to come, I'll be watching.

Thanks, that's incredible, a top-notch and professional logo...there are so many things I like about this one, I'll need to think hard with this too to see if it's in the top 5. It's definitely one of the best I've seen.

 

Tropica, you have a talent with creating these silhouettes, and you seem to know exactly what I'm looking for. I love your style! I'll need to think hard about these too, as they're all so damn good.

Congratulations to all the winners, and many thanks to everyone who took part is this memorable competition. Hopefully you will all get something for your designs, whether you sell them on, or receive business from someone who has been impressed. Or even just the practice itself, with designing in Photoshop (or other software), has taken you one step closer to where you want to be. And there might even be some of you who just enjoyed the contest, and found it a good outlet for your creative/artistic abilities.

Special mention also goes to jamess for his many excellent designs, which only just missed out, Fidel_Castro who was so close to the prizes, with his wide variety of designs (I might be getting in touch with you in the future for a banner of one of those), Tropica, who's 5th place doesn't do his work justice, and I will be hoping I can use his services in the future for banners and backgrounds (and I believe he does web design too). The highly skilled raghav was within a bee's whisker of the top 5, as was darzuaga with his classy designs. zinruss has some excellent designs, and I'm glad he's already managed to sell some of them on (clearly zinruss also has a talent for business). And who can forget bmR89's logo late on in the competition; a fantastic creation!

One of the key people to me in this contest, and I was hoping he'd stay in the top 5 due to the fact his design played a key part in the evolution of this contest, is koporc. When he posted his design, I thought 'here is the winner no-one will come close' but then other designers gained an insight into my mind, and took it on board for future designs.

It's hard to mention everyone here as it was such a big contest, but just to make it clear; there wasn't one logo in the contest that I wouldn't have been happy to display on the site. I was worried that a bad design would come in, as I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but there wasn't even one out of over 50 designs.
