$50 logo contest for "DayandNight.in" - 48 hours max + consolation prizes!

Hi,

I need a logo for my website called dayandnight.in

Specs:

1. The text can be either "DayAndNight" or "Day and Night"
2. I will prefer logos in “green”
   + “blue” colors (over light background).
3. You can use a sun and moon as props but it is not at all necessary (so be
   creative)
4. Height must be within 100 pixels to fit the header, width is no problem
5. No cartoony logos please, must be professional, clean and readable.
6. The tagline would be “Software consulting and outsourcing”
7. A small graphic or icon accompanying the text, under, or over the text is fine.
8. Logo must have a strong branding.
9. Readability of text (i.e. name) is always a very high priority.

Notes:

1. The site is a showcase of our products. It is a brochure site.
2. The site is for investors so the logo needs to look very professional.
3. Payment will be via paypal. I would need a vector/psd file after payment.

All my contests have gone extremely well (see my iTrader) and I’ve been pretty
impressed with so many talented designers in the contest forum.. so that's why I
always keep coming back here!

I need this logo ASAP and this contest will remain open for 2 Days.
The winner gets $50. If I like more than one logo then I will definitely offer
consolation prizes as well (see my last few contests I’ve always given consolation
prizes as honorarium to talented designers)

Omg, wasn't it enough to copy nora's concept that you even had to use same colors?

Here are my first round of feedbacks:

@Nora: Your design looks very clean and elegant.. Very much on the lines of what I was expecting.
@kainraziall: I liked the logo concept.. But the overall design is rather too simplistic for my taste.. Overall it is looking a little retro and definitely needs spicing up a little.
@bhoduarts: The logo concept unfortunately is very similar to Nora's.. Also text might need a little tweaking to enhance readability.
@logorain: The logo art is looking a little informal.. I would definitely prefer something more business-like

@Madara: Nice touch with merging text and props.. I really like the overall concept..
@katesrobyn: The Artwork is nice, but I think your logo will exceed the 100 pixel height limitation.. Also it will be nice if you can incorporate the tagline in logo as well.

Tip for designers and CH,
Make sure the slogan is not too small.
What happens is blown up, it looks great, but then sized down, you cant read it.
Just be carefull.

 

Another quick round of feedbacks:

@katesrobyn: I think you updated the color scheme a little since my last feedback.. Must concerns are still regarding the height of the logo.
@Nora: Thanks for the update.. I will consider this one for selection as well
@logorain: This one is definitely better than the last one..
@lejka: I like the fact the you have tried to do something different with sun and moon.. Text will need some minor tweaking though.. specially for the tagline

 

Evo-D rightly pointed out that the text can not be too small, as it affects readability is also an important factor of the overall design
