Hi guys, I need a logo done for a company that competes with Goodwill stores but the company itself is not a store, it's a donation center and they don't sell anything like Goodwill does... The name of the company is "Donation Stations" and the following text should also be present in the logo: 1. Benefiting Children's Hospitals & Clinics of MN 2. Accepting Gently Used Clothes & Household Items The logo should also feature this logo somewhere in the logo and should be done in such a way so that this other logo can be easily changed with another one and our logo will still look great... also, our logo should be just as visible as the other logo and vice versa and one can't take away from the other - they both have to be equally visible but yet look great with each other... This is the previous logo that was done for this company and the owner hates it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43522653@N08/5623154996/ Your job is to create something much better than that and please stay away from the colors of this previous logo, the owner hates them too! The logo has to be very professional and polished and have a children's angle in it. Colors have to be fresh and calming not aggressive and depressing... And at last but not least, the owner wants the logo to be rectangular, no circles of any kind please! Looking forward to your designs guys and I will give you direction as we go along! Thanks!
Visit this link: http://www.mrschleicher.com/contests/donationstations/Final1.pdf Alright, here's what I did. I created a simple logo for Donation Stations. Then, I created it into an image that you can use as a splash page or flyer. I did so for three reasons: 1) You have to adhere to Children's Hospitals and Clinics of MN Logo Guidelines. According to their guidelines, you need to use black and white or the colors they used. 2) It would have been too many colors if you used the colors in their logo. 3) I wanted to create a logo for Donation Stations to have. You should have your own logo. There is nothing wrong with informing people of a partnership, but you should have something to identify your organization as its own entity. Here is the link to their logo guidelines: http://www.childrensmn.org/Web/aboutus/186274.asp You are trying to incorporate a lot of different elements into this design and you want to stay away from using too many different colors and fonts. Let me know what you think.
@everybody: Guys, please create a logo similar to this style: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2117982&page=2#post15945438 Thanks!
