72 Hour Contest!

We are looking for a new logo for our upcoming release of our new website design and we need a nice Web 2.0 logo to match the template.

Qualifications/Rules:

• All content must be original and unique! We do NOT want a logo that is a similar design of another company's logo.
• Copyright is transfered to us upon delivery.
• We have every right not to buy any logo's we see here if it isn't what we are looking for.
• All designs must be finished by the 72 hour mark. Which will be Tuesday 1PM MST. We also have the right to choose a logo before the contest is over and end it earlier.
• Payments will be made to the designer via Paypal or Alertpay.

The logo must fit well with the design and portray a powerful message of who we are but at the same time not over distracting from our template design. A little distraction from the template from the logo is ok since it is the LOGO.

We raised the contest to $60 for the logo, we are in need of a very good logo and are willing to pay more if needed. Our next stop will be a freelance website if this doesn't work out for us.

Not really sure what that is....I guess it's a joke. Looks like a crosshair lol.

We would like to have a logo that has DMEHosting.com DMEHosting in it of course. If possible try to include your logo in a screen shot of our template so we can have a better feel of what it will look like.

 

I understand what you're saying, but when you look at the logo (without text added) you see (D M E) complete hybrid.

 

Ahh ok. Sorry for the rude comment, I'm very handicap when it comes to graphics. Someone else who I showed saw what it was after I made that comment.

No problem - If it can confuse you.. it will probably confuse other people
as well - thus probably not what you're looking for. I may try another
entry later when/if I have time.

 

Watari: May you show us a screen shot of our template on a larger scale so we can have a better feel of what it will look like. Your logo is definitely something we want other designers to go off of as it shows a sense of cutting edge and Web 2.0 look which matches our website.

jackieh1791: It looks pretty good but the "DMEHosting" doesn't look to Web 2.0 and doesn't fit the overall design of the template. The font is very plain and doesn't have much web 2.0 in it. Watari's logo isn't some crazy font, but has a nice glare to it that matches the website's glare in some areas.

Watari: We are really considering your logo as you have hit the nail on the head with the design. We just need to make sure that it's unique and original. Perhaps you adjust the logo and add the small text of "Cutting Edge Hosting Services" like some of these other guys, just to see what it looks like.

mnuismnu: The font doesn't really fit to well with the template, it has more of a gaming theme to it because of how it is smashed. Overall it is pretty good and has potential if some things are changed. I don't think a smashed font is what we are looking for.

 

Mnuismnu, of all the shapes in the world, you had to pick a cube and you were even nice enough to include a shadow under it. Oh, and look at that - you went the extra mile to use the same tag line. Pathetic.

untitledstudios: I really like the design of your logo. However having the symbol with just a D in it isn't what we want since it's DME (owners). I kind of wish the font could be a little bit more "shinny-er?", not sure where to go with that. But at the looks of that logo, YOU have potential of making something great and what we want because of what you have shown.

VictoriaAnn: I love how the text/font is displayed and fits very well. However that smashed DME symbol in the front kind of looks like a surfer, but perhaps this may still work out. If you have any other ideas for a symbol in front please try it.

Witari: Can you produce another version of the logo without the white layer on top of the text. Had a few complaints about it, i'm sure you will be able to change the font/style up a little bit to produce something great as you have that potential.


I'm going to ask our designer(s) to take a look at these logo's and see which would best fit since the owners and I aren't that great when it comes to graphics.
