Ok, I think Hemp's submission works best for my site, but obviously I can't be using any stolen work. So, Hemp, what say you to the charge that fujimoto levied against you accusing you of stealing his creative work? This matter needs to be resolved - in the thread since it was a public accusation- before anything can be finalized here.
its my fault for not using my head and posting my design in here. A contest allows for an entry without participants seeing the work, I should have known this.
It makes me positively ill to deal with such bickering going on in this contest, and I'm saddened to see it happening. I contacted each of the two arguing parties asking them to communicate together to work out their dispute, but to no avail. I did receive a sufficient response from Hemp stating that he got the graphic from stock & then gave me links to the same - and frankly, there are plenty of the same in use (per Google image search) - it IS after all a standard cadeuses with nothing special about it that distinguishes it from 100s of other cadeuses symbols. His text font and color, plus layout differed from fujimoto's design as well- enough to be his work IMHO. Once before I had two designers bickering in a thread & I paid both to make them each happy, but I am NOT going to shell out $100 to do that again-- so it's settled. Hemp's design is the one I am selecting. I'm sorry if there are hard feelings as a result of that but a command decision is necessary in this instance and that's the one I'm making. I'm not sure how it could even be argued that he stole fujimoto's design? You type in medical symbol on google and that symbol comes up a thousand times. It wasn't his original creation to begin with! Anyway, great contest holder for paying for TWO winners.
Hemp, On July, 9 2009, I purchased this logo from you, and here you are trying to sell it again? Lucky for me, I decided not to use the design, even though I did pay you for it. It is very bad business for you to resell material owned by someone else, regardless if you designed it first or not. the fact that I paid you for it means that it belongs to me. I even have the psd, the fonts, and the original email that you sent me upon completion.
Hey siteexpress seriously speaking i was not trying to resale!i was in the confusion that flightnurse was you only and i thought you again launched the same contest but than flightnurse explained me that both the sites are diffrent the 1 i did for you was lpn2rn and what i did here is lpntorn and you can even check my text in my post i had writen that i have once done this,that was because i didnt remembered and i was not going to sell it again to flightnurse.thats why i designed other one when i came to know that flightnurse wasnt you.
