Contest $50 Logo Contest - 4 day contest - New Website: Business Blog Buddy

I'm helping to launch a client's website, and their website is called Business Blog Buddy (http://business-blog-buddy.co.uk/). Please design a logo that meets the following requirements:

Requirements

• Please design a graphic that features a logo with a small graphic, plus the text "Business Blog Buddy". There should be NO tagline. The only text to use is "Business Blog Buddy".
• The logo should be bold, fun and interesting. Buddy = friend, helper, person, which should influence the logo.
• The existing colour scheme should be used as much as possible. This includes whites, blacks, greys, and the colours used in the existing sample logo (below).

Please use colours that appear in the Sample Logo below, but do not copy this style, as it's not what the client wants:




Rules

The rules are pretty simple. I've run lots of logo contests before, and they've always been excellent.

• If you get stuck with any of the requirements, please ask.
• Contest closes on Friday 11th June 2010 at 8pm (GMT+1)
• Payment of $50 USD will be paid by Paypal, no other payment method is currently available.
• Feedback from the client will be provided for submissions as soon as possible.

Client Feedback: The font is good in the second image down – friendly and rounded. I don’t like the font in the first image and I don’t like the surround on the font in the last image.

Client Feedback: Colours are ok, not great, seem a bit old fashioned. The image is a little too cartoon-like. Nice and fun, but too cartoony. Logo size is perfect. Looks like it is for a school related product/service, not a business product/service.

Client Feedback: Sorry, I don’t like the font or the colours. The smiley face is just wrong for the design. It needs to be more formal and business-like.

 

Sec Attempt

 

Client Feedback: Would be interested in seeing a development of this incorporating pink (#F60088) from Sardine Design and orange from Business Fulcrum (#F03D00). Not sure about the image, it needs 3 b's in it and i don't like it at an angle. Almost feel this is a bit too simple.

Client Feedback: looks too busy and yellow/grey combo gives it an industrial feel

Client Feedback: almost too clever, don’t like the inclusion of the script font (but can see the thought process behind it) would tipped over symbol actually work as the B in Business rather than almost replicating it? Can we try the B in an upright position?

made the vector character more rounded instead of oval and applied a new text,

Client Feedback: yes quite like this one, clever, and neat, can we go round again incorporating shocking pink and bright orange from our current businesses? Would be interested in seeing a development of this incorporating pink (#F60088) from Sardine Design and orange from Business Fulcrum (#F03D00). I like the image because it automatically makes you feel like you are going places.
