Logo contest - $50 to winner. If we get 8 or more entries, we'll pay $20 to runner up.

    DESCRIPTION:
We're looking for a hi-res logo for a client. It will be used
for existing website and for LARGE print. Vector graphics would be
ideal but we will consider Very hi-res raster based. Company sells
truck accessories (primarily) and construction related items so we want something mean & tough. Not too over the top though.

    GUIDELINES:
    1. Company Name: Awareness LLC.
    2. Simple, Clean, but tough.
    3. Fit into existing website scheme: www.cleanbreezetruckscreen.com (it won't be replacing the clean breeze logo, it will be added to banner).
    4. Hi-res preferably vector.
    5. Unique and creative. Please, no regurgitated templates!

    LENGTH:
We will run contest until mid day 9/30 (Wednesday CST).

    PAYMENT:
Paypal. Winner and runner up will be paid immediately after contest ends (before delivery of artwork).

    RIGHTS:
Client will Possess full exclusive rights to artwork.

Please feel free to contact with any questions.

If you are willing to pay as most ch's do here (pay then receive files) I might enter this one. Maybe make an exception for designers with outstanding itrader feedback?

Yea, for digital products or any product sold online and offline, you pay first then get the product delivered. COD (cash on delivery) is just not the way of doing business like it used to several hundred decades ago. It is highly recommended to get payment before files (or any products) are delivered. But it's up to each individual designer how they choose to transact.

So if anyone doesn't agree to the terms of this contest I'd suggest to move on and find a contest that has acceptable terms. No? :)

All the best CH and all that choose to enter.

    Here's a concept Idea
Thanks for updating the project brief. I figured i would go ahead & help get the contest started. Keeping it simple, brandable, tough & using the exact color palette of the sample site you provided..

    Scorpion,

My initial impression is "I like it." Contrasty, clean, and tough. I will be meeting with both the client
and the rest our development team monday morning to evaluate all weekend entries. I will post detailed feedback for each entry after our meeting. In the meantime, a sample with the graphic to left of text would give the client a slightly different variation to consider on Monday.

Some initial feedback. but first, keep in mind the client will be reviewing Monday. So something I
    don't like, he may love.

jharrvis: I like the font used. However, because the top A is so large, this graphic would
not scale down well in order to fit a relatively short site banner. The co name and slogan would
end up too small. The rock texture certainly fits the tough requirement, but its too drab and lacks
    color.

clubnokia4u: Overall, its pretty decent. I like the flame style graphic. I ALMOST like the motion effect
of the co name. Maybe make some changes to the motion. It almost looks somewhat short and choppy.
But again, the concept I like. Oh, and not thats its a biggie or anything, but its LLC. not LCC. ;)

mediawerkz: Although a nice design, it doesn't fit the tough requirement. I do like the vertical LLC with
    bullet, however.

UPDATE: Spoke with client last night. He mentioned something about the old ford commercial with a steel
block dropping into a pickup with ford engraved in the steel. Personally, I don't see this type of logo impressing
me, but ultimately its the clients decision. So feel free to give it a shot.

    thanks for feedback.
I'll comes up with another idea.
BTW that's not rock texture actually. I try to make a rusty metal background but it's look like a rock :)

We've talked with our client, who doesn't really like any of the entries so far (even though we do), but he's looking for something more along the lines of the Ford - Built Tough logo. It has a very industrial, rough metal, masculine look. Check out this image to see what we're talking about:

    http://ceoworld.biz/ceo/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/built-ford-tough.jpg

I'm thinking he'll like the rough metal, something maybe with diamond-plating, or any other masculine textures - if that makes sense... maybe some rivets or screws or some kind of "tool" aspect to it...
