UTV logo proposal

Thanks for your entries.. Here are some feedback fromt the client...

We like the UTV to be the same size as the Rhino that neilparnham did (CLICK HERE), with the same orientation, UTV on top, text on the bottom. We also like the text that Neil did, just add the .COM at the end of the UTVLODGE. As for the UTV, we just like it as an outline and be it a cartoon like the Rhino. To get some view of the outline see my site to reference it to a real UTV. I hope this helps.... The client does not like an actual picture of a UTV.

Wow, this is like the 4th thread in 2 days that someone has uncovered an Infringement with different designers. This is starting to get a little depressing. Makes designers that put their heart into it for uniqueness & originality feel a bit vandalized.

Even though some may not like my style & or concepts, At least they are original.

It just turns my gut to think that people are paying for copyright infringement RIPs & setting them self up for a lawsuit.​

 

Neil Parnham is a good designer but that does seem a little strange. I'm guessing he has traced that Rhino from another image anyway and it could even be a clipart image I mean the logo you found with the same rhino isn't exactly professional either. So, could just be clipart.

Still, not nice to see all these rips coming out!

 

Neil, everyone hears ya about that but I think it's best to just state when posting it that you used free clipart/vectors etc. Saves all of this arguing all the time.

We all work that long, well a lot of us do, trying to make ends meet - i'm snowed under at the moment with my clients away from DP but if you start to do stuff like this, your reputation suffers and doesn't set yourself up well for the future.

You're from England, like myself, and I know that deep down you don't think 25 quid is worth sacrificing your good name and morals on this forum.

Next time, just make the contest holder aware - fair to everybody that way.

 

umm, when a Logo is made & copyrighted that means that the complementing Image is copyrighted with it (Hinse Original Logo to Brand a company).

What do you think Nike would do if a designer started reselling there image to another company & just changed the name on it? (Umm, Law Suit)

Clip art is free art (NOT intended for soul copyright resale).. How can you sell exclusive rights to something that thousands have access to for free? (You can't)

All those image sites have disclaimers stating that the images can NOT be used for LOGOs & sold with Exclusive rights! Not reading the terms of service / disclaimers / & local-state governing laws does not make it ok to do.

At any rate, I wish you all the best - It just saddens me to see that so many resell & give exclusive rights to something they don't own them self.

He's talking about the logo you posted with the clipart on mate; saying you should contact them to let them know. Don't worry, i'm sure he knows you own that graphic you posted above!

PLEASE Designers, if you wish to accuse each other with copyright, can we not post it on this thread.

I am suppose to end this contest today at 8PM but if there are no adequate designs then I have to extend, especially with this new subject on this thread.

Hello All..

I just want to say THANK YOU for all your entries . There have been some really good design on this post.

The deadline for this post was scheduled for today at 8PM. I will have to extend this deadline until we find the design that we like for the company.
We will not settle for less.


So for those that would like to still take a shot, please feel free to enter in the contest.

CollyMellon - Thanks for the update, I like the design, I think you did a good job. The UTV has that cartonny effect but also have the real look. I will keep your design in mind and will show it to the "decision maker". I will get back to you with some feedback.

coolwanz - Welcome to the contest, it is good to see your contribution to this work. Your design is good as well. I like the text and also how you did the UTV. The UTV is cartoony, with cool wheels, lights, facing forward and the with sand effect. I will also show this work to the "decision maker". I will get back to you with some feedback.
