Contest $50 Logo + Business Card Design - Be original, have fun!

Hello,

I need a Logo and Business Card designed for my new start-up project. It is called YUZON. It will be used as an App logo, website logo, on business cards and more. Focus on the logo concept, not business card design.

Keywords: shopping, social media, social environment.

Mood: smart, inspiring, professional (but definitely nothing depressing or too serious)

Style: Text logo. The first letter of the name (“Y”) should be distinct so that I am able to use it as a concept (as a button, App symbol etc.). The text must be in caps letter. I’ve attached my own idea in handwriting (symbolizes network/collaboration and the letter “Y”) but, please feel free to submit your own original ideas as well! Like I said, it’s a text logo but small, smart additions are allowed.
Also, see if you can incorporate the “barcode” concept into the logo (the shopping barcode that is). Again, don’t restrict yourself, I am just throwing you ideas.

Main criteria for picking the winner: 0riginality, Creativity, Simplicity (anything Smart!)

Thanks for your submissions so far. I will be giving general feedback only at this point, based on submitted work:

- The color theme of the logo should be inspiring and encouraging people to shop and interact with each other (not kill themselves. But please nothing ridiculously colorful.
- Font: since this is a text logo, it should at least have a distinctive font (again nothing crazy, just distinguishable)
- The letter "Y" should be part of the logo, not separate. But that letter should be usable separately when necessary as a button or App icon. (e.g. like letter "f" is sometimes used separately in facebook but, it is also part of the facebook logo)

Thank you for your inputs! Below is the feedback for the designs that I like so far.

Skaritza: I like your design the most. I like how the first letter is both a shopping bag and a speech bubble. I like the fact that it can be easily used as an App button. However, could you please, try the following separately: (a) make the "speech bubble" a little bit more pronounced (obvious). a little bit. (b) Make the first letter i) Red, ii)Orange (there are simply too many blue colored apps out there) (c) make all letters the same color (perhaps except for the first one?).

ariif: I like the concept you created. The color variation is distinct too. But can I see the logo on plain white and plain black backgrounds too. I want to see how it stands alone (of course feel free to add watermarks).

john butto: Your very last submission looks interesting. However, please do the following and lets see how it looks: a) remove the two file rectangles on the top (I understand you used them to create a "y" letter but that's ok + b) make the text colorful, leave the barcode black.
