Contest $50 Local Family Business Logo Contest - PayPal

Hi Everyone,

Need a logo for a bakery/restaurant/cafe.

The company is located in Vancouver Canada and is focused on providing the most delicious baked good imaginable.
The products range from fancy premium pastries to delicious lunchtime sandwiches.

A small twist to the menu is the unique eastern European offerings. Specifically lunchtime meals and soups.

The focus of the logo should be premium/bright and it needs to look good both in full (where complete name is spelled out in the logo) and in an icon format which will be used to brand pastries.

The company will be called:

Bake my day cafe

So here is a quick summary of the logo requirements:
- bright, premium and eye catchy
- both appealing in full and short icon version
- icon/short version could integrate the four letters BMDC, but this is not a requirment
- needs to look good both on black and white (could be two varients)
- need the logo by Monday, July 14th

So far #5 looks like it's on the right path.
The only problem could potentially be when using it as a small sticker or chocolate imprint.
The icon needs to have less detail so it can be printed on chocolate. Should have pointed this out initially.

An emblem should be good for the icon/small logo. However, I would need the full name in the large format logo.
The intention is to use the emblem alongside the full logo on the banner and large advertising material.

The emblem alone would be used on the baked goods and packaging stickers.

 

Concept. The icon represents a coffee cup and the negative space indicates baked bread.

Here are the some comments on all the work above:

#9 the emblem looks a little hard to understand and the writing of my day cafe is not very easy to read.

#10 is way too raw and don't really like the croissant concept

#11 is too plain

#12 is MY NEW FAVORITE. Really like the "my" in the middle and i think this can even be used for the emblem on it's on. One thing i'm not too sure about is the hat/roller on top.

#13 has some good creativity behind it. Like the concept, but it would not work on chocolate embossings.

#14 is also a close second. However, the font and concept of #5 attracted me more. The one thing I do like a lot from #14 is the coffee cup emblem.

Once again thank you everyone for the entries so far.
Will keep on the look out for new concepts and improvements.
Hopefully my comments above give a good idea of which direction to take it.
