We're creating a landing page for an event we're putting on in November. We want to create a landing page similar to the one used by Malcom Gladwell:

I will enter soon but have a couple of questions.

Do you need this coded? Do you have the details of the event/tour to fill out the rest of the page or are you only looking for a header?

 

Based on my PM from Chris I believe this contest is closed. His message to me was:

 

Initial header image. Removed background from headshot and added hair to the top. Let me know what you think...

afaik only the contest holder can close the thread and inform others of what's happening before dealing with the winner

 

Wasn't trying to close the thread Jay, just wanted to inform people of the situation before anyone wastes their time. Chris has been on a few times that I've seen since his message to me however I haven't heard a response. He has a very good Feedback score so I'm not too worried.

 

I think that it isn't fair from him to close the contest without announcing it publicly because others are still creating entries. Here's mine which I created in the meantime:
