Contest $50 Header Design Contest - Ends 6/5 Midnight EST

Hi all, sorry about the last contest... it was "terminated" by moderators because I used a tinyurl in the post... sorry about that...

Here's what I need:

I want a header for one of my review sites. You can see a copy of the existing site here:

* I need the image to be 1028 x 157 pixels
* I want to keep the existing color scheme - so make your design work with that "theme"
* This is a "tech" site - should convey that in the design...
* Needs to incorporate an RSS button as well - though i'm not fond of the one that's there now or it's location.
* I need to feature a "Mike & Troy's" text above site title and a little to the left of it.
* I want the "Mike & Troy's" to be it's own branded image that I can reuse on several other sites as well, so please make it prominent and interesting and put it on it's own layer, etc...
* All work must be done in layered PSD format and will be required prior to payment via PayPal. I will not pay for a JPEG nor a single layer PSD, nor corel draw, nor any other format. Sorry to have to state all of this, but I've run numerous contests here and it seems people do not adhere to this requirement. IT IS MANDATORY. If I select you as the winner and you do not have a fully layered PSD I will select another winner. That includes any fonts that are used in the project - they must be supplied as well.

hmm...

I like the way mike and troy's stands out with the red, but think i'd like to see a couple variations on the shape instead of just a plain jane rectangle... maybe two rectangles superimposed or something... also, make the "&" in the middle smaller...

The main title text needs to be a different color other than white to stand out/separate it from the text in the mike and troy's...

Not super fond of the the RSS... would like it positioned at the bottom right and a different layout, not sure...

I like the super imposed background with the typing etc... (though i don't care for the text "growing into glamour" - would like something techie there instead...

I like the RSS - that's cool... just don't like the overall layout of the title, icon, mike & troy's - it all looks crowded...

I like the color on the "Article" - not so fond of the bluish color on the tablet...

I like the submission review and sub title text - that's good...

I am not fond of the Mike and Troy's ... the color or the text - i don't like that rounded white background...

You missed the concept of the site... Article Submission Review?... please re-examine the source image...

 

I like it but a few ideas...

I'd like the RSS to stand out a bit more - maybe a rounded tab looked semi-transparent background to it or something... also, i want it to be the standard RSS orange color...

I like the text, but I'm not sure quite sure I'm fond of the "mike and troy's" text - can you try some different samples of that?

I would like a slightly different shade of blue - more of a Navy blue... for the Article Submission Review text...

Both the "mike and troy's" and the"article submission review" text needs to stand out a bit more... I don't want some huge outline border, but something to make it "pop" off the screen a bit more...

Can you liven up the background just a bit? Maybe some different shades/transparency overlays at angles or something?

 

ok...

1 - I don't like the article tablet color - just doesn't make sense...
2 - I really like the RSS image, but would like to see it scooted much farther to the right just leave like a 20px inset form the right edge... also can you scale it down to about 80% of it's current size? It's okay if it covers up the hands a little bit... but it won't much if you scale it 80% first...
3 - The "ITCODES DESIGN" - that doesn't have anything to do with the site... can you put something relevant like "Linkvana" and then another "unique article wizard" (smaller)... also make them a little less prominent (that existing one stands out too much)
4 - On the "Mike and Troy's"... make the font for the "&" smaller - so that it is smaller than the "Mike" and the "Troy" and then bring them a little closer together and make that red banner not quite so wide... also can you make the beveled edge for the banner a little wider so that it looks like it's sitting on the page more?

 

dark blue shades don't sit well on dark background so I tried this. Also using too many colors will make it too busy.
