$50 giveaway

    I'm planning to do a $50 giveaway to get my forum going a little bit more.

    Does anyone have any ideas what I should do? e.g referral competition, most posts etc.

    Given the nature of your forum, maybe you could give the prize for the best album review. If you could find a rating script you could get your users to vote on the reviews to decide the winner.

    Hm, 50$ is not much money it might look better if you buy some things for those money and give it away for top posters or reviewers like T-shirt of your site or some nice CDs...

    Haha, I joined your forum the other day! Weird.. Can I have the $50? :D :D

    I think Pedigree has a good idea - I'd be happy to submit (a few) reviews for a competition.

    Referral competition could work well too I guess.

    Most posts will result in people posting crap just to get their post count up..
