Notice an "n" that appears in the upper left corner of every page. Outside the template, it even loads first. Happens in Firefox 2.0, not sure if it happens with others. Since that's appeared, Google analytics tracking reports 0 visits HOWEVER the status tells me Google is receiving data. Also have MINT installed so I know I'm still getting hundreds of hits a day, certainly not 0.

Need to figure out how to get rid of the "n" and restore Google analytics.
    On WordPress 2.2
Incidentally, the "n" also appears in my WordPress admin.

    Serious about the 'reward'
My blog gets a decent amount of traffic so I desperately need it fixed.
To verify my honesty and the recipient, will only pay by paypal. User with a solution should post a response here (not the solution) and contact me through private IM. I'll try solutions in order of responses to this post.

    Help!

    Thanks

No success yet so I appreciate the continued suggestions
That said, I've turned off a plugin (catcloud) that some discovered was causing a problem. Expect it is harder to diagnose with that gone. Pryda, got your latest PM, will give it a shot.

Still no solution, I want to update so no one feels slighted, ignored, or that I neglected the offer. I've had to upgrade to WP 2.3 to get some fixes in place; that was not suggested. "n" is now fixed by removing the (catcloud) plugin, as some had suggested was the culprit but previously removing was not the solution. Analytics still aren't restored though and now the sidebars are missing!

Offer still stands but clearly has changed to address current situation. Fix sidebars, cleanup catcloud "n" so I can turn back on, solve analytics (which are installed by the way to those that offered to install them - they aren't recording data even though Google says it is receiving data).

Without even looking at the site I'd guess that you have a \n coded so that the html drops to a new line.
However you will have left off the \ so you have just the n and that's misplaced so it sits up there.

I don't see the "n" using FF 2.0.0.11. I'm PRETTY sure what sojic suggested would have fixed it. Maybe it's a plugin or something else?

There is a virus on WP 2.1 Upgrade NOW to 2.3
Plugin code was bad so that had to be cleaned up
Template code was also bad (and still is) so footers aren't working. Analytics only back by putting that code on the top of the page.

If anyone is still willing to help, notice the right sidebar has porn links in it. This is driving me nuts so I'd appreciate any suggestion as to why/how that's happening

    Thanks

    Paul

    seobrien,

Couple question - do you have shell access? If so, I can help you find where those links are if they're in a php (or any other file).

Do you have phpmyadmin? If so, you can use phpmyadmin to find the links if they're stored in your DB.

    Let me know.
