Cash may have had his run-ins with drugs and the law but he wasn't a gangster, let alone a "gangsta", whatever the hell that's supposed to be
According to urbandictionary: 2. gangsta link send redefine 296 up, 73 down One who willfully promotes and participates in destructive and self-serving culture in an effort to project a particular image of 'toughness' or to make oneself intimidating. Willingness to blatantly and horrifically misuse English is a necessity, as is a low IQ and sub-par education (or at least the appearance thereof). Seems to fit, minstroll. What now?
Getting back on topic (if possible), I don't believe anyone that's hard and on the streets would say they're a gangster (gangsta?) when asked. I'm sure the typical answer would be 'what's a gangster?'. Then in most instances they'd show you their gankster and shiv you for asking. I think mostly it's an mtv thought up word or maybe cnn/cbn. Gangs don't exist (other than on tv and movies), only families or cliques imho.
This is my public apology to iconrate. He intended his previous post here as a joke and I overreacted. Sorry 'bout that, Chief...
iconrate wrote Are you serious? They do exist and big time in the U.S. Especially with the Growing stream of South Americans coming in The States that continue their gang activity on the streets in the U.S. But that must have been a joke of some sort that might be misunderstood from my end
No apology needed, but thanks. I also apologize for what may very well have been in poor taste. (most likely)
I don't disagree with you... what I was trying to get across was that the word gang/gangster is sometimes misused. Most 'gangs' consider themselves cliques just like the rest of us would in school or whatever. They're still gangs but I don't think the word is accurate is all. I'm trolling off someone shoot me
