$50 Banner Contest Arcade Site

I'm looking for a Banner/logo for my Arcade site www.arcadewhiz.com

Size should be 930x150 and colours should blend/match the existing site.

I would like the text "Free Flash Games" & the url "www.arcadewhiz.com" in banner if possible.

I would also like a or some arcade type characters/aliens/monsters etc in banner.

Can be animated or not but banner must look good, I will give feedback if required.

Please post your entries in here and I will choose the winner.

Looking to end this on Sunday 19th Oct at 20:00 GMT and will pay winner by Paypal. (if more time is needed, just let me know)

I've decided on top of the $50 that I will throw in a featured link in my directory (in signature) for the winners website and a normal directory listing for everyone that enters competition (as long as they are not adult/casino etc).

first of all let me explain my design, while i was in the process of making your banner i read "characters/aliens/monsters" so i did some research and i found the top gaming sites online
don't have any characters/aliens/monsters, as a tip from me i really think you might want to
consider editing your thread and removing it because you have a very good name with a large potential like, www.miniclips.com , www.addictinggames.com
don't have any aliens/monsters/characters, but because you requested it i added a PACMAN instead of the "."
By the way its custom made not copied from the internet

and since its a kids gaming site, i thought it might be cool to let that PACMAN wink at the end so here is my banner, resizing, font changing, pattern changing, or anything else can be done!

Simple, yet professional and fun

Thanks for the interest in the competition.
I’ve read the comments made, thought about them and completed some research.
I take the comments onboard about having characters in the banner and its clear to see that the market leaders in this field tend to have small logo’s and give the rest of the space over to advertising/marketing. This probably makes good business sense to these big fish, but I am only a minnow I’m afraid. I do not wish to copy the big fish and prefer to make my own way, if this doe’s not work out, I can have re-think later!

A lot of people have gone down the retro route with pac-man and space invaders etc, this is good but the banner doe‘s not have to have pac man or space invaders. I’ve listed requirements below to try to make it a bit clearer.

Must have/be

Site url (www.arcadewhiz.com) in banner some where
930 x 150 Pixels in size (slightly smaller in either way will be OK)
Must be your own work (I will use it on the site and do not any copyright issues later)
Colours must blend/compliment site
Winner must be willing to give me unrestricted copyright & use of the banner.
Child friendly
Must look Good/professional

Would like to have (not necessary but would be nice)
One or some arcade type characters
A small piece of animation (nothing major)


I’ve looked at all the banners in details and really pleased with what I’ve seen, please keep them coming in.
