$50 - $70 Logo Contest

Hi,

I'm redesigning my wallpaper community, Desktop Nexus, and I need a completely new logo for it. I'd like it with just the Desktop Nexus name and logo, no slogan.

I'd like something very unique and brandable... however nothing too simple, nor over complicated. Imagine how it would look stitched on a polo shirt (overly complex logos don't embroider well).

When designing, take note the logo will be sitting on a blue background color of #6485AE in the header, so it needs to show up well on that, but I'd like it also to look nice on white as well.

I'll run this contest for a few days and hopefully find the perfect design, though I reserve the right to end this contest without a winner if nothing jumps out to me, however that's unlikely (I'll obviously only gain rights to your work if I pay you).

And also, I'll throw in an extra $20 if you can deliver the logo in vector format also.

alright mate, just to get the ball rolling here, thought i'd take a different approach to your everyday web 2.0 look. if you like it i'll make a unique logo too, with a D and an N on it.

 

Thanks for getting things started, but I would like a stand alone iconic logo, aside from the Desktop Nexus text, and also I don't need a slogan on it.

You guys aren't really going the direction I'm envisioning.

I want the logo to be very professional and brandable.

The entry by limitless isn't bad, but I'm not a big fan of using a play on "DN" in the logo, unless it looks unusually good.

www.faveup.com has some awesome logos if you're looking for inspiration.

I'd ultimately like vector format, so it doesn't matter. If you don't know how to work with vector images, I suppose just make it as large as you can, so it's easier for me to trace and convert to vector format.

I'm looking for something much more businesslike, professional, and brandable. Thanks though.

That's getting closer, but I'm not very fond of the 3 circles for the iconic logo.

I don't know, to me this reminds me of a gaming company logo from the 80's. I'm looking for something fresh.

Nice style, but I'd like more of a stand-alone logo... not something that is based off the Desktop Nexus text.
