    Essentials:
    * Contest ends Tuesday, August 8th @ 0600.
    * A winner will be selected at the deadline (and maybe before). Without fail. Boy Scout's Promise!
    * Winner will be paid $50.69 (note the attractive $0.69 you get :p) at contest expiration via PayPal/Moneybookers (your preference).
    * Must be in a vector format. Transparent background. Layered PSDs not accepted.
    * If it goes well, I'd love to have you do further contract work!
    * I have flawless feedback; check out my iTrader link.... I selected a winner and paid promptly on the last auction.
    * You can submit your design by PM, post on the thread, whichever you would prefer.
    * As I did in my last contest; I'll ask my finalists to submit to the thread I have on NamePros: http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/765507-50-69-7day-logo-contest-couchseeker.html#post4357126 where I must announce the winner or risk getting kicked off their forum. I post over there because you know I am required to select a winner; and it lets a few more designers see the contest (although the best entries for my last contest were from DP).

    What is this business?
There are certain "hopsitality" sites on the Internet like http://couchsurfing.org as well as https://www.tripping.com/ where you can create a profile and apply to different hosts so you can stay at their place (on a couch for example) for free! Anyways pretty cool right? The problem is that actually *getting* one of these couches is *really difficult* and takes 1-2 hours per city. I'm a lazy dude and so I can't be bothered to do mind numbing repetitive tasks like reading over people's profiles and writing 'something unique' about them in each request I send; which is basically a duplicate of what I sent to the last prospective host. So me being lazy, I've written some software that allows cheap travelers like myself (who don't want to pay for accommodation) to send requests automatically on your behalf to the prospective hosts. This way if you're travelling extensively like me (I'm riding my motorcycle from USA => Argentina currently) you can set it up for each stop on your itinerary, forget it, and then boom, you have a bunch of options for a place to stay.

Tell me more about the logo you want?
[Ideally] means that. You don't have to follow all the rules. You're the designer, not me.
Ideally, the logo would have a stylized/iconized version of a couch somehow.
Seeker we want to imply something that WORKS on YOUR behalf.
I don’t want somtehing that looks cheesy however.
Please make sure that the name of the product, couchseeker is easily read. I had to reject some choices on my last contest as they put more into the icon than the font.
Please know that the primary use of this logo will be web based. This also means I need something that is probably wider than it is tall.
I want the image to inspire confidence. People will be asked to make a purchase decision on the website.

The website format will likely be a squeeze page, so logo will likely be centered among the top.
Ideally, there's a way to add .com when I print out stickers other stuff. But the .com will not appear on the website, just for printing purposes.
    Less than 3 colors ideally.

Here’s a concept to get your juices flowing. I know you love my ASCII ART.

Here are some designs I do like:
    Buyit-sellit.jpg
    Magic_press_pass_logo_email_template.png

Here are some designs I do NOT like:
    Table-Fireworks.jpg

    (too busy. i prefer simple)

I will be accessible for the whole contest on:
    Skype: arooni
    IRC: arooni on Freenode

I will provide feedback immediately on your designs.

I look forward to hearing from you!
