I'm trying to figure out how find those interested in advertising on my relatively high (sort of) traffic site. http://www.topacousticsongs.com I thought nowadays everything was pay-per-click or pay-per-action, but apparently I'm wrong and there are those willing to just pay to slap their banner/link on your site. Where do I start looking for these people...other than my own private means of contacting them individually? Is there some sort of network, resource, etc?
an easy thing to implement is to add an "advertise" section on your site, clearly visible. Your website looks good, a bit too much on the google ads but besides that it looks good
why dont you just start a thread at DP BST section > Advertising, you can easily find advertiser if your website is good and your price is reasonable
If I were you I would just add affiliate programs on your website. You will make alot more money doing that. When your traffic grows the more money you will make. If you can find a good converting offer. Check places like clickbank, Commission Junction, Linkshare, NeverBlue they hundreds of different offers.
People selling audio equipment and software would be interested of putting a banner on your site provided that you are 100% legit .

try dp first and the hundreds of other forums out there. But you are likely to get more cash if you go direct and ask people if they want to advertise, the worse they can say is no.
Well, you could create a special ad page on your site and promote it with backlinking. The page can give details of pricing, ad size options, etc. Include your sales pitch - like, why they'd want to advertise on your site - the benefits, your visitor capacity, etc. Look for newsletters that service people in the music industry and place a solo ad and/or classified ads. These would have to run more than once to do any good, but you'd be reaching a very targeted audience.
You can easily monetize your traffic with cpa offers if not with adsense. A lot of them pay $1-$3 just for a simple email submits. I have about the same amount of traffic on one of my sites and is doing great with adsense and CPA as the average per click is $1 for adsense.

Remember you will make alot more money when adding affiliate offers then having advertisers. You can also add both to your website.
