:) i will give you $50,000 as long as you atach the domain to a site that is ranked #1 in all SE for great keywords and it has the following

    alexa= 1-99
    PR=7-10
    hits daily= 40,000,000
    backlinks= 9,000,000,000

and making a earning of at least $700 to $1200 a day

but if this cant be done then i will give you $15-20 for the domain cos its been owned for so long it will be good for high ranking in SE's

has the domain got any backlinks does it get traffic if so then take the 4 0000 off and get people to bid :) thats what i would do

If you do end up selling this domain for 50,000...please let me know who the buyer is. I have a few proposals for him as well. ;)

Thanks INV, you obviously already know what I'm talking about.
Thanks articlesZone, it appear that you are right about the nature of the domain selling/buying here. It's obvious now...
esiason14 will do, I will be selling that as well..not sure you will be able to afford it ...;)

For people just reading this thread, sorry for the confusion/mess.
Lets try to summarize this patchwork.

I was under the impression most would know this here.
Apparently not, lets try to clarify things.

When a domain is something more then just a way to get indexed in Google, the value can be quite high.
This is most often the case when a well established business or funded startup want to launch a new product or service using that domain name.
For example, if a company like NTT, deems it interesting to purchase 123sites.com or digitalpoint.com to start a new product or service, they will not hesitate to spend in the 100s of thousands. Why? Because last year their revenue was $100,990,000,000.
NTT is not the only entity that would do that, 10,000s of other businesses and well funded startups worldwide would also do that.
This is a well known fact for many.
By the way, NTT already purchased 123site.com...

The guy on sedo.com selling 123home.com is asking for $98K. He's probably like tens of thousands of others(?) looking to sell to the right $entity$. I'm not interested in selling this domain at anything remotely close to $50.
If that's your budget, you are in the wrong thread. It says $50K right in the title ?!?
    ________________________________________________
It appears here, we have quite a few "domain name, day-traders" looking for the a "cool" domain to get indexed with Google.
That's a totally different market. Most real people ending up on their sites (by mistake?:D ) do not know and will never remember their domain names. The market described previously, generaly has the goal to have people remember the domain name.

For the ones looking to understand I hope this helps.

    ------------------------------------------------
Now for SVZ joch21 Sorror toolblast .

Trying to make fun of something you do not understand, just makes you look real stupid or sad for those that know.
If you’re a kid, please think about that for a few seconds, it's your key to a better future.
If you're an adult, I have no suggestion for you...stay away from me....
you got looser written all over you...

    ------------------- Male bounding following --------------------
I personally like mamma jokes (it's one of my weaknesses...) and find it difficult to resist once they get started. But I've to say, Sorror, the one about the "mom's toaster" is lame...

So lets try a few here:
Sorror, yo' mamma is so fat, she wears a VCR as a pager.
    Or how about:
SVZ, yo' mamma is missing so many teeth, it's like her tongue is in prison when she smiles.

    ,
    Christophe

Not trying to be rude or anything.

Please if you would not mind taking the time to explain why 123site.com is worth 50K and 456site.com is worth what?

    Since 456site.com is not taken.

The inherent value of a domain is in what someone is willing to purchase for it. True, I can post up thisblogsucksyoumustbuyitnow.com and ask for $50,000. Anyone can.

I can even speak until i'm blue in the mouth about the POTENTIAL VALUE to the right buyer about it.

However, before undertaking such a post I'd have to check my ego at the door and realize that by posting that site for that much money I'm basically telling the masses that the world is flat.

    Yes. Flat.

And not only am I telling them that the world is flat, I'm not even backing up any of my claims.

Might someone buy into my "Can't Believable" message? possibly.

    Most likely- no.

You never know, putting it on ebay and tempting goldenpalace.com into making a bid maybe the best option.

Ok, ok, stop! I give up... you won ... I'm willing to sell it for $45K ...now...
Take advantage of me...I'm crazy ..hi..hi..:D

    --------------------------------------
More seriously, if possible at this point.
Thanks mattevers, l234244, appreciate your contribution.

It's an English "idiom"(?). We say "Easy as 1,2,3"... to say it's really simple.
Its commonly used in marketing and even other cultures now...
A sample of 123 sites following:
    http://www.123webmaster.com/
    http://www.123india.com/
    http://www.123items.com/
    http://www.123inkjets.com/
    http://www.123france.com
    ....etc....
Maybe one the most common family of domain names ?

    Thanks fryman.

If my original prospect reacts like some here, I might just make a directory out of it...;)

Thanks for the explanation, ly2 (makes a lot of sense).
Just in case, I do not think anybody here is a noob...sorry if I made you fell that way...

    Peace,
    Christophe

hmm...I think OP has taken the harrassment well. Of course his asking price is high to most of us I would like to think that 123sites.com is a valuable domain. It would be great for hosting, webmaster, or designer services. I would value this in the $x,xxx. It's quite possible that he can get $xx,xxx from the right buyer and it's more likely to happen in his 12 year holding time. :) So why should he sell it for $xx? He shouldn't. You do have a good name and don't let those here with no class get you down. 123sites.com is very very memorable, brandable, and spellable.

If you really want to sell it for $x,xxx let me know.

labrocca, thank you for the sound analysis (imo).

A low $xx,xxx offer might be tempting, but honestly, at this point, I do not think I would accept it.

I stand by my initial offer at $50,000.

    Salut,

chrisd - don't want to burst your bubble butttttttt I don't see it. You are trying to equate other similar approaches such as eretailer.com or myretailer.com or iretailer.com to something like 123retailer.com!! If you manage to sell it for $50K, send the sucker over I'll sell him abcsites.com or something similar for $25K. Keep us posted on the domain and if you do sell it feel free to upload your escrow tranaction here for us to eat our words.

    Good Luck!
