5 weeks gone and still did not receive paypal cheque... Wat should i do next ?
i had requested a paypal cheque to be sent to India from 2 different paypal id's (Both mine ) to my home address on the same day (August 27,2007).

however, i have not got any of the cheques till now.
Previously i had requested 1 cheque and got it in 2 weeks time.

i have used the "Contact Us" button and sent them this :

Since the transaction it has been five weeks and i have still till now not received the cheque.
Last time i had ordered a paypal cheque i had received the cheque in 2 weeks time.
But this time it has been more than 5 weeks and i have still not received the cheque.
i request you to resend the cheque to me at the earliest date possible.

and anyone faced such cases in the past? what happened , did you finally get the money ?

hmm.. my fear paypal cheques also get lost in transportation at times..

 

Technically speaking , you can't do much for first 45 days from the date check is issued. Sometime it does take time for paypal checks to India. I receive it for instance in 21 days. Just be patient. Instance of paypal checks being stolen are less , or being encashed by someone else. If you don't get your check within 45 days call Paypal ( I repeat call Paypal , email doesn't work, their support not that great with email ) and explain your situation. You can then reissue a check.

You will see lot of replies now , telling you to use xoom. If you can get used to xoom.com system and can pay the fees. you can use it too. If you still have any doubts , don't hestitate to send me a pm.

yes i will from now on be using xoom. some of my other friends also use xoom.
but i dont know what was wrong with me that i preferred paypal cheque at that point in time ...

so umm.. basically should i just wait till 45 day period ? which means 1 more week... and if i dont get means i should call paypal.. do they re-issue cheques in such situations ? also is there any such scenario that after 60 days from date of transaction they will not take intrest in the matter regarding re-issue of cheque...

 

Yes I prefer you to wait for atleast 2 more weeks and then contact paypal regarding this. I had got my check here in India after 57 days..

Now I am using Xoom only

 

U can wait for few more days,if u still did not get the cheque then its better to call them and ask them to cancel the cheque.They will charge $15 for cancellation.

 

Better if you transfer your money to your credit card which works within 5-7 days.

 

wait for 2 more weeks and then ask for status of the cheque. If it is still not credited by anyone ( pray for it ) you can ask to refund the payment to your account. They willl deduct 15$ for this transaction , but then you can't do anything about it. Laterz use xoom .

 

ok, i got the cheque after 38 days from its issue
It was mis sent to Sri Lanka instead Of India.
bizzare . lol.

anywaz since then i deposited it in bank and got encashed.
hmm i wonder what i will do frm next time.. paypal cheque or xoom.

 

Use XOOM,only 3-4 days and the money is in your bank account
