    Good thread. I've been kind of sick of the internet business hype lately. It is not necessarily "easy" to make money online. It's going to take discipline and hard work just like any other job. So work hard and don't expect short cuts!

    So many people are looking for shortcuts, it's annoying. 99% of blackhaters are newbies thinking that they can make an easy $xx/day "cheating"

    I think: If You Build It, They Will Come
    because i had a couple of websites which i visited after 3 months and they got about 10 unique visitors per day where as before they got 0-1.

    That is what made me think that you should keep the website running even if you rarely update it :).

    I beg to differ, search engines don't dislike that, because if that was the case, every site that generated or talked about the news would be hated as well...

    Google even talks about it on their blog...Duplicate Content

    I totally agree! That's why I gave up throwing my website into directories. One-way links are much better for SEO!
