So I've resorted to forking over cash for a solution to a rather simple issue I have with a current blog. Here is what I'm looking for: Let's say I have an empty section of my blog that needs something in it. I've decided that I want a plugin that will pull industry related RSS feed links (like a list of 5 or 10 of them or whatever), so that people can click on them and it takes them to whatever article it is. I've seen many blogs who do this - but now that I actually want it myself, I can't find the right plugin to do it. For example: If my blog is about Horse Racing, I want to be able to input a keyword or whatever, and the plugin should pull the latest article links to news about horse racing. Make sense? If you know what plugin I need, please PM me, and the first person to offer me a simple solution (because this surely can't be difficult) I'll Paypal $5 to them Thanks!
plug in you're looking for is called FeedWordPress. It's an RSS aggregator, you'll need a relevant RSS feed, which could be a google news feed with "horse racing" as keyword phrase, which pretty much means THIS ONE: PS - don't worry about paying me $5, glad if I could help
If you cant find that you can use a feed generator on a HTML block on your sidebar, its very customizable and easy. If you need any help PM me Also cheeck http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2007/03/01/wordpress-plugins-for-feeds/
Well, I appreciate the answers above and the PM I received - but I still have an issue. The Feedpress plugin blew my mind - and while I'm not a PHP coder, I'm no stranger to WP or modifying. For what I'm looking for, that is ENTIRELY too complex. There HAS to be a plugin out there somewhere where I activate it, go to some simple configuration screen and enter the feed URL I want to pull from, and place whatever snippet of code I need to place in the section in question to show 10 links or whatever. All I need this for is filler. I need to fill an empty section of my blog with something, and I figured links to related feeds that auto update would be ideal. It cannot be this hard! Anyone else have any advice? Offer is still open...
