So many contests on Digital Point don't reach their full potential. Whether it's lack of contestants or lack of prize money, by following my list of do's and don'ts your bound to be a lot more successful in the contest section of DP! 1. Make certain you aren't TO cheap when it comes to choosing a prize. If you are looking for a lot of contestants in your contest, you must set a modest prize that will make it worth while to people! Don't expect quality if your not offering a decent pay for it. 2. Don't ditch your contest. Even if you ditch it for a couple days it gets your contestants very worried that you just disappeared and they did all that work for nothing. It will generally make people not want to enter into your future contests. 3. Be APPRECIATIVE! Make sure to thank contestants individually for their entries even if you don't like them! 4. Feedback, Feedback, and more Feedback. Don't make your contestants beg, people love feedback. If you don't leave feedback, they have nothing to work with. If they have nothing to work with, you are going to have a lack of entries! 5. Tell 'em what you want! If you are very general when submitting your thread and aren't specific about what your looking for, don't expect to get it! Contestants need specifics!
