Nice short article. Actually I'm about to agree with all 5 points, especially with 1. where it says "...The Large Rectangle (336X280) ad format seems to work better than other ad formats becaus..." I agree with that on 100%. I removed this Adsense format from my sites and my earnings decreased DRAMATICALLY. I have to switch back to the old 336x280 Ad format.
Good tips but not all the time links-in-blue are effective one. It's better to blend your link to the common font color of your site content so that the visitor will not expect that it is an ads.
tricking visitors into clicking on the ads will mean that they don't buy what the advertiser is selling, and because you stole money from the advertiser, adsense will "smart price" your account. always make the ad link color bright, so that it does NOT look like content, and it draws attention to the ad... it's up to the advertiser to write ad copy that causes the visitor to click.
