Hi, I've been lsitening to podcasts from Pat Flynn and in one he gives 5 tips for making sales without being pushy, here they are:

    1. be honest (about the affiliate link)
    2. provide support (if any problem/question with the product)
    3. multiple opportunities (to click on the affiliate link, so beginning, middle and end of post, also videos, podcasts, email, etc.)
    4. offer a bonus (related to the product, ideally something you've produced yourself to complement the product)
    5. remember why (why you promote that product, how it is helpful for your readers)

    Care to comment on those?

Tell them it's an affiliate link and that you'll earn a commission on the sale. So that you get commission because of the value you bring to their life. Don't worry, you will get commissions, just to be sure make it clear that they're not overpaying by using your affiliate link.

These are great tips, Pat's a genius. I think being honest is the most important thing. :)
