5 Things You Need To Be Successful As An Internet Marketer

Let's face it. There are a world of possibilities and options available for the internet/affiliate marketing business.

Too many in fact if you ask me. But I guess this is the beauty of our business; to be ableto have those options available and pick from a myriad of ways to help us succeed.

However, the problem lies in the fact that most people I believe have a hard time picking out exactly what to do. So, what ends up happening is that they jump from program to program, opportunity to opportunity, opt-in list to opt-in list and never really get anywhere.

What needs to happen is to get back to the basics. So, let's start there.

The following are the 5 things you need to succeed in this business, because they are the most basic and fundamental necessities and they lay the groundwork for everything else you do in online marketing. If you do not have these 5 things, you will fail. No question.

So without further ado here they are.


Focus - You need to stay focused. Stay focused on one program, one mentor, one opportunity, etc. STOP opting into every email list that promises riches and free products. You're spreading yourself too thin and you will never succeed.

Mentor - There are MANY "Guru'"s out there that are all very successful and have much to teach all of us. The problem lies in that you can't possibly learn from all of them. The solution? Pick ONE maybe TWO mentors at the most to start off your business, learn all you can from them. Then after you have exhausted their teachings, feel free to move onto another mentor to teach you more advanced ways to work this business and specialized knowoedge that your original mentor did not cover. Otherwise, you will get spread too thin, become frustrated and never make any progress.

Domain Name - Okay. Now we come to actual tangible things you need. You need a domain name. Sure, you can start off as an affiliate and just use the vendor's sales pages, but as you will see later on, that is just no way to start and operate a sustainable online business.

Web Hosting - That goes hand in hand with a domain name. You have to have somewhere to park your domain, so you need web hosting. All kinds of options are out there. Most are really good, just make sure you sign up for one that offers "unlimited" numbers of domains that can be hosted.



Autoresponder - Next to a domain name, an autoresponder is probably the most important thing you need to conductt this buisiness. It will help build your list, thus building up a sustainable business income.

I would say that the reason 90%+ fail is because they don't take ACTION! "Take action" should be the first bullet point on your list.

 

Research. Test. stay organized. Be tenacious. Those are just a few more-

 

Couldn't agree more with number 2. SO important to stick with one system and focus on that... it's very easy to get distracted in this game.

 

Interesting, not the five I would have chosen, but I can see your point. I think many of the so called "Guru's" are way overrated. Most everthing you need to know is available on the net if you take the time to search it out and read it. Then, take action.

it is no surprise that so many people are now looking to affiliate marketing as a way to make money online.
1.You need to accept that you will need to watch, to listen, and to learn from the experience of those who know how to teach you what you need to know.
2.Secondly, you need to understand that you may not see results immediately. It will take you giving your effort to creating a success affiliate marketing business.
3.The third quality you'll need is perseverance. The measure of your future success will be determined by your ability to keep going, and going.
4.If you stay convicted to your goals, and work hard towards reaching them, you are always one step closer to fulfilling your dreams.
5."Attitude is the key to succeeding". You must remain optimistic and steadfast in your abilities to achieve your goals and dreams. Always have a good attitude toward your business. You are the only one who can make sure your ship comes to port.

 

I would add that just as important is an understanding of how to effectively market the offers that you introduce to the marketplace you're serving.

I agree with you. The info is there on the net if you will search for it. Problem is, most people won't do it and if they did, they may have trouble putting it all together into a cohesive plan.

By the way, I really like your website. Very nice.

 

I agree with all of these, especially the focus part. Many people don't focus on one thing and because of that they fail. Always focus on the thing you were working on and dont spread your focus.

That's a solid list. I'd say Focus is probably the single most important trait you have to have.

 

You need to merge all of your character qualities in you want to succeed. They are different for everyone, so one guy can be successful with 3 points, other needs 30.

I have learned those things the hard way

Anyways here are just some of the things that i have learned:

1) Dont think too much just copy what succesful people do.
2) Start with ONE niche and ONE website until it start to earn you money there is no point in starting to promote 10 niches because if you do you will not make any money guaranteed.
3) Try to start with article marketing thats the best way to get noticed in your niche and build backlinks to your website. This will also build your own brand in the process. If you dont know how to write, Outsource it(elance,oDesk). Search for quality writers the QUALITY is the key here.
4) Start to send those articles on GuestBlogs(Guide here) and Article Directories.
5) Make sure you have link on your website in every article you send out. So when people are interested they will come to your website. This will also make powerful backlinks to your website which will help you with SEO and rank you higher.
